180 flick problem

when I try to flick my whole arm to do a fast turn. I usually only get between a 45 and 90 degree turn. I wouldn’t complain except its inconsistent. when I slowly track my arm for the same 180 turn it works almost time. so i’m not runnung out of mouse pad space.
I don’t have pixel skipping. (used that calculator)
my mouse is set for a 1000hz polling rate
800dpi with 3.9 sense

any suggestions or do i just need to do slower turns?

it’s my mouse, thanks for the help and mouse suggestions. when i have the money i’ll buy a decent mouse.

Wrong section I would ask this in technical support. At first I thought you are a console player using m+Kb but as a pc player this does sound weird. If it was the other way around I would say turn off mouse acceleration so idk.

If it’s a hardware problem. You can test that.
Slow turn for a 180, put books ors something at the finish and start at the edge of the pad.
Now fast turn to the books, If you are 180 great. If you don’t get 180 then your mouse isn’t tracking properly.

Try a different pad 1st. Then try a different mouse.

Mouse accel doesn’t matter with ow, they use raw input. You can use whatever dpi you like 800, 1200, whatever.

Sometimes you just need a new Gpro wireless mouse:)

I’m inclined to believe that its my mouse, maybe a $16 mouse want the bast call lol

You don’t really need to spend a bunch if you don’t want to. Just do some research on sensors. Get a mouse with a decent sensor that you like the feel of.
The sensor placement is kind of a deal. when you change mice, but you’ll get used to it.

Sounds like a bad sensor.

You can get a solid gaming mouse for under $30, check newegg

Overwatch works best with a high DPI mouse and low sensitivity(not sure if it helps for flicks of over 90 deg).
So if anything get a mouse that has a few different DPI settings or DPI settings you can change rather than a fancy looking mouse.
Hyperx makes great FPS mice, there is one on amazon for $35 US isn’t as customizble but has 4 dpi settings(400-800-1600-3200) 3200 is what I play overwatch at but with the next mentioned mouse.
The next hyperx one for $10 more has rgb and 6 programmable DPI settings that can be changed with a mouse keybind and has 3 profiles you can switch between for diff games etc.
For Overwatch I have my DPI set to 3200 and 3 sensitivity in game, so either mouse would work.
However if you get the cheaper one and you play other game that don’t have their own sensitivity settings the double dpi difference might mess you up a bit.

I would go for the one with adjustable dpi settings if you are really serious about 90-180 deg flick shots. They are branded HyperX pulsefire FPS.

Also 800 DPI with 3.9 sense seems amazingly low, is your mousepad like a meter wide? Gonna dislocate your shoulder like that.
BTW you should be able to do a 360 deg turn with the space of your mousepad not a 180 turn, maybe thats messing you up?

It’s your mouse. The sensor is cheap and incapable of doing proper tracking and so when you go fast it completely loses track and will be inaccurate. You’re going to want to spend atleast $50 or so for a perfect mouse.

Some good choices
Glorious Model O (what I use)
Zowie FK1
Razer Deathadder Elite (might be able to get these for $35)
Almost anything Logitech gaming should be fine sensor wise.

I highly recommend the glorious model O since it’s pretty much the same as a finalmouse but instead of being $200 it’s $49

end to end I can do a 420 degree turn, my mouse has adjustable dpi settings. 800 is just what i use for everything.

Yep if you are doing 420 turns end to end but cant flick 180 its def a hardware problem.
But if you are interested you should watch this video on dpi and sensitivity interaction for overwatch. It doesn’t really matter for most heroes but anything long range you should have a high dpi with a low sensitity or your cursor/crosshair literally skips over pixels when you are aiming and can cause you to miss headshots. And it doesn’t hurt close range heroes so really no point in skipping pixels if you can avoid it.

Start watching at 3 minutes if your interested in what I’m talking about. But theres lots of other info in there like turning of windows settings that can cause your mouse to accelerate in a game.

You need a better mouse. Just get any logitech/anything famous gaming mouse, any of those will work.

Do you have mouse accelararion on?

You have a poor sensor in your mouse. You need to pay $ to have a better mouse sensor.
