Look, I get that it’s 6 am for me, but I’m in the middle of the US and have crossplay turned on. You’re telling me that with how loose Arcade matchmaking is, you can’t give me a game in less than a quarter of an hour? Come on now.
And, the fun part is, it was still going. I cancelled at 17 minutes, because i was reading an article on my phone and got done before the Q popped. I shouldn’t be able to watch almost an entire “half hour” show (they’re about 20 to 22 minutes without ads/commercials) in the time it takes to get one (Non Comp) CTF match.
Oh, and this by no means was my only “long” Q of the night. I had 7 minute ones, 10 minute ones, 11 minute ones, etc. It’s difficult to get Arcade wins when your Qs are about as long as your matches. I mean say you have a 10 minute Q and a 10 minute game, that’s 20 mins for one win… If you win.

Literally nobody plays these so called “event” comp modes but they keep getting recycled every year regardless. I am so glad I already finished all placements so i can move on.

yeah, that means there is even less of a reason for anyone to play it, if it is not for the placement rewards.
Well, game without new content for years…
This event, I just got the 2 new skins with gold and then I played some apex. Yeah, the event is done for me in just 5 minutes.
Why would people keep playing this game? Idk but I am just tired

Once I finished my placements I just went back to normal arcade and quick play. I do this with normal competitive as well but I think tons of people do it on arcade competitive modes.
Too much stick not enough carrot.
I enjoy CTF in other games but in OW it’s designed in that too team dependent style that weighs down fun factor for most OW matches.
There’s just no point in playing the comp modes when they are a cell phone F2p grind.

Does CTF also have RQ? (Legit question I never touch the game mode)….cause that just sounds like a nightmare if you have to combine RQ times and Low interest times
I find it pretty alarming that modes with no hero or role limits have such a high queue time. There must be literally nobody else to play with.
Nope, Capture the flag has no RQ. 
BUT, we have CTF, CTF comp and CTF Blitz (which I prefere 
) at the same time (event). Not enough CTF interessted players, I guess.

Ctf is not a popular mode, and like you said, 6am. 6am on a weekday, that gets rid of pretty much every student, and everyone who has a job. Even people with bad sleep schedules are probably off games at 6am.
Unpopular mode with a tiny player base on at that time, makes sense to have long queues.
I actually like ctf blitz. Not regular ctf though.
