15-20 Minute Queues on DPS... In Plat

You may have been avoided by a lot of other players. If you rage hard at your tanks and healers, you risk getting added to 4 different avoid lists in a single match. That’s going to make your queue a lot longer for the next few hours and days.

2. More often than not, I’m the one getting harassed.
3. I haven’t received an in-game notification saying I’ve been avoided by a lot of players.

You’re right, the first thing that every single person that sees me on LFG says “ Hey, you’re that guy on the forums with the Signature, no I don’t want to play with you! ”

Or they ask you to switch off Widow, and you mute them because of it. And then they avoid you … who knows

You know you can avoid all this finger pointing and just look at my heroes played instead of assuming I’ve been playing nothing but Widowmaker these past couple of seasons, I understand it may waste seconds of your time, but it’s worth taking a look.
The resulting evidence of course doesn’t fit your agenda, so I understand if you’ll pretend it doesn’t exist.

I’ve been playing Beta since it came out and never ever I had a dps queue in plat longer than 5-7 minutes. Usually less than that.

Well, there are only so many reasons to get much longer queues than other people …

1. you’re avoided by number of players in your rank
2. you’re playing on server that is really far away from you
3. you’re playing at times when most of the players sleep(in server time zone) or demand for dps is much higher(dps peak)

That’s about it …

My queue times before Role queue were nearly instant, with times late at night dropping to a whopping 2 minutes.

I Don’t think it’s right to judge how the devs treat the tanks before to how they will now with 2-2-2. I think they’ll receive a lot more love in the rest of the year.

but I don’t want to wait 15-20 minutes for a single match.

I find this hard to believe, I play in low Diamond and my que’s are about 6 to 7 minutes average, and I put emphasis on average beacuse I sometimes get matches in a minute or two due to the randomness of it all, so in general it feels alright. Also, the devs already confirmed that the ques are not as long as you say other than high levels, which you are not.

It’s just the old saying, “jack of all trades, master of none, but often times better than a master of 1”. Meaning it’s nice to have a specialist for certain tasks, but someone more variable brings more value a lot of the time.

Though from a peek at your profile you don’t seem to be, just a person who prefers Widow. (though a peek at your signature, would lead me to believe you are at the same time haha.)

Players with very high SRs will always see higher queue times because there’s fewer players of similar skill to match against them, but we’ve seen reports and have data showing some players are waiting 20-30 minutes. We’re investigating this and are already working on some matchmaker adjustments for future updates to help address the issue. If you can find a friend who plays Tank or Support, queuing together as a Damage/Tank or Damage/Support duo drastically reduces the queue times you’ll face.

First of all congratulations your skills, they are so good you have hard time finding match. Second of all they work on it, so you might see improvments in season 18. And last but not least I would fallow advice and find queuing buddy.

I can think of two situations here. Either it’s an unintended effect of a new system that is being worked on, and because of that some people will indeed suffer from longer ques than intended or you are against role que and lying. I’ve seen so many anti role que posts making up lies that is difficult for me not to be suspicious. However, in case you are actually telling the truth, you should know that that is not intended and it will get fixed.

A lot of people dislike WIdow, maybe you are getting avoided and that is raising you que times. I don’t know if this is the case but it COULD be.
