The general discussion feed is almost entirely talks about 6v6 right now. 5v5 still sucks and 6v6 was a vastly more fun experience. Am I doing this right? Or should I be making a thread pointing out how overtuned support role is?
EDIT: Nevermind. I’m pretty sure that one guys is necroing every single thread about OW1 or 6v6 they can find. I mean, I agree with him but now I know why so many threads are talking about it.
It’s up to you. I have no clue if anything on the forums reaches the developers, and I’m inclined to think it doesn’t, so you’d mainly be screaming at your fellow forumgoers, not anyone who has any power over the game.
I mean to be fair - that’s why there are so many repeat threads. Everyone just makes a new thread to scream into the void, rather than looking up existing discussions.
I don’t want two tanks. That would be awful in OW2.

influencing even a small part of the overwatch community is one way to indirectly influence the devs, it just takes time for the discussion to grow big enough to reach them
i dont expect any blizzard devs to actually read anything posted on these forums though, it seems that they mainly communicate via twitter these days
as you can see currenly we got alot of patches whose purpose is homogenization… and homogenization is last resort of balancing(because it makes game boring)… after that only rollback… so 6v6 is inevitable and it’s just a matter of time

Nobody but tanks want two tanks. It doesn’t even make sense.
Playing tank is just miserable imo, I play mostly rein because he’s super fun, and then I get matched into an orisa, or hog, or mauga, or dva, or ball. It makes the game super hard for me to do anything when the enemy tank can just look at my shield and delete it or be in my back line where I can’t really dictate what happens unless I use charge, which when I do the culprit is already gone.
I personally think the only argument that is fair from the 5v5 side is the queue times, which tank is ALWAYS the lowest, no matter what. You have the most pressure on you, you’re the peel and the frontline. I feel like 6v6 would be a step in the right direction. Firstly though, they need to make the tank role feel better to play.
I mostly play open queue and run rein zarya, I have fun even if I lose most of the time. That’s just me though.
Someone is bumping old threads. Searching for the topic and bumping threads, to fill the current discussion with topics of their choosing.
This should probably be discouraged through moderation.
That’s the M.O. of this forum… the flood posting is done by paid influencers to drown out valid complaints and negative sentiment.
Old versions of games tend to end up that way for a reason.
That the devs effed up OW2’s development so extremely badly doesn’t change that 6v6 had a lot issues.
6v6 isn’t a magic wand that will solve the game’s balance issues. Can’t understand why people think that.
Y’all do realize most of the roster would have to be rebalanced for 6v6, right? And you trust the devs to get that all right?

To me, this is one of those “You think you want it, but you don’t” situations. The state of the forums was even worse at the end of OW1 when we still had 6v6, so I think they just don’t remember. They know they want something different, but they don’t know what, and 6v6 was the most obvious change from OW1 to OW2, so they think they want that back.
