12 loses in a row

Im just keep falling more and more, at this point, dont know if should even care

Like, putting effort like crazy, nah, you lost, and rarely ever winning more than once

Losing more SR than what you get for winning

Im just tired…

And half of those matches are just stomp rolls, where my team doesnt even gets past the choke

Im just getting so freaking tired…

Im forcing myself to not use mic cause the amount of stress from constant lose streaks will only make me yell at my teammates and get nowhere

I dont know what to do, i try my best, doesnt work, i switch heroes to counter, doenst work, i get kills, my team doesnt push, etc

Im just completely stuck of a loop of failure, i cant get anywhere no matter how hard i try, i just reached another season low…

I just dont know what to do…

If losing annoys you then don’t play. It’s that simple.

Its not losing that annoys me, its just LOSING and nothing else, if it was a 50-50 i would be fine but im basically on a 30-70 if not worse and is just horrible

Like i dont have a problem with losing, but when im just losing all the time, its just not fun at all

I see a ton of responses like this, and they absolutely miss the point and it’s just a race to make the most annoying, erroneous, passive aggressive comment possible. It’s not losing, that comes with the game, it’s the miserable experience of getting stomped and it feels like you never had a chance to begin with along with random long losing streaks that make Competitive feel miserable to play, and most Comp Games in Overwatch are just stomp or be stomped, 49/49 in both directions and you rarely get a good match that felt satisfying to even play, win or lose

If it helps: I was on a 20+ lose streak last week, and then a 10+ winstreak the past two days. Your winstreak (good games) will return, dw.

I had worse before…

That’s just how the game works, if you play bad you get stomped. People always say they try their best but at the same time they say they already get tilted and don’t use voice com anymore, this already indicates that they are not playing as good anymore and therefore they lose.

Just take a break from the game and try again, there is nothing else you can do. If you just keep on playing with bad mood you perform worse and worse which is why your rank is decreasing.

Maybe post a replay code so ppl can point out your mistakes.

If the game is mostly made up of Stomp or be Stomped matches, than that would indicate wildly inconsistent performance for most players which really doesn’t make sense and if you go and play other games, you often get far different results, and it’s only in OW that I see this happening.

Yeah because winning in another game and having a balanced win rating there is comparable to Overwatch.

Don’t get too upset about it - everyone gets losing streaks now and then but it’s important you ask yourself did you do everything you could have done to make the match winnable? ie did you do your part of the job as well as you could have?

Losing a lot = Beginning tilting = Getting mad = This goes on forever.

Try to have a break of 2 or 3 days, that will surely help

It’s not winning you’re still missing the point, it’s individual performance win OR lose. I can get stomped in Overwatch and get an easy blowout win the next game, or I could go play TF2 and have performance in matches consistent with previous matches and win or lose. If you’re either stomping or getting stomped, the experience feels miserable and the games rarely ever feel like both teams had a genuine shot at winning.

I want competition, not a win, not a loss, I wanna have fun while I play while both teams perform optimally and I get that in most games, but not Overwatch which is the perplexing part.

Depends on a lot of factors why you get stomped in one match and in the next one not, team comp, individual player behavior etc. Overwatch is still a team game so if two people go into comp and play with a “whatever, I don’t really care so much” mindset while the other team has players who all care about winning it’s obvious that only you can barely turn the match into a win unless you are really good and carry the game.

Well make it 6…

And THAT’S part of it, it feels like you have very little agency and actual control on the outcome of a match. Because the game is so heavily team-dependent if you get even one teammate that’s having an off-day or is just hard throwing it’s nigh-impossible to turn the match around. So the Matchmaker effectively decides the outcome for you, even if it’s not the intention for it to do so.

TF2 is a Team-Based Shooter much in the same vein as Overwatch, but I’m not beholden to anyone else on my team regardless of who I’m playing as, even as classes like Engineer or Medic I can still feel like I’m having an impact by properly performing my role.

Just as a personal anecdote, a few months back, I was playing Lucio on Hanamura Attack, and I held a point down by myself in Overtime for 2 minutes, picked up kills, and popped Sound Barrier three times that whole engagement, and my team still lost the match because I finally died. I was doing 200% those two minutes and it showed, and even though we lost and I was frustrated at my team for being completely inept, I still felt satisfied because I’d proven I could do my job. But those moments in Overwatch are incredibly few and far between and it makes Competitive feel miserable to play.

A week ago i had a match where me and the other healer were at 20k healing each, and our teammates were just incompetent…

Now you’re clearly in your own head is going to be part of the problem.

Sure, there can be bad players too, that still, definitely happens, but the biggest thing is your mindset is shutdown from the start because of the lose streak.

The amount of healing doesn’t mean much, games can last an hour and obviously you rake up high healing numbers but that doesn’t mean your team members were incompetent. You can have games that lasted ages with 30k healing but you only healed like 20% of the team damage and other times you get quick games where you heal 9k and healed 40% of the team damage.

Blaming your team members is a mistake, the game is played by 6 people on your team, one of them is you yourself.

It was a two round match… my team only managed to get the first point, got completely stuck on the second one
