11/15/20 Patch Notes

Hey Guys! so my birthday is coming up on the 15th and this is my little wishlist!

Ana

Nanoboost duration increased form 8 seconds to 10.
Nanoboost now acts differently depending on the target.
Tanks will get 50% damage reduction and a 20% damage increase.
DPS will get 25% damage reduction and 50% damage increase.
Supports will get 25% damage reduction and 50% damage increase.
Nanoboost now does 200 healing instead of 250.

Comments :

Ana’s nanoboost is definitely in need a slight tuning down, We’ve done this to tune down the overall strength of the ultimate but keep its key combos intact.

Baptiste

Immortality Field duration reduced from 5 to 3 seconds.
Immortality Field now keeps 10% of a players health (formerly 20%).

Comments :

Baptiste has gotten a lot of play recently, which is a positive. Although, we feel that his Immortality ability has a bit to much strength in it, this change will allow the enemy team tom follow up more easily after the field is destroyed.

Bastion

Transition from Recon to Sentry mode now takes .45 seconds instead of 1.
Tank Configuration fire-rate increased from 1 shell every second to 1 shell every .75.

Comments :

This buff is targeted to help with Bastion clunky playstyle while making sure it Bastion doesn’t become to powerful for lower ranks to deal with.

Brigitte

Base Armor increased to 75
Rally duration reduced from 8 seconds to 6
Inspire radius reduced from 20M to 15M
Whipshot will no longer activate inspire
Shield Bash damage increased from 5 to 50

Comments :

With this change Brigitte will have to be more active in the front-line in order to have constant inspire uptime, to allow this we have given her more personal sustain. This will allow Brig to be less dive-able but not make her entire team less dive-able.

Doomfist

*Uppercut Recovery nerf reverted

Comments :

Sorry, lol

Genji

Shuriken Recovery time reduced from 0.75 to 0.65
Shuriken Damage increased from 28 to 29
Deflect cooldown reduced form 8 to 6 but is no longer cancel-able
Dragonblade cost increased by 20%

Comments :

Genji’s power has been to reliant in his blade, this should allow more constant value.

Hanzo

Projectile speed increased back to 100m/s

Comments :

This change should again allow Hanzo to contest other snipers instead of being at a constant disadvantage.

Mercy

Resurrect now must be casted directly above the body and movement is now entirely locked
While Mercy is resurrecting she now becomes visible to all enemies
Healing increased to 60hps
Ultimate cost increased by 15%

Reinhardt

New property added to steadfast, Reinhardt’s movement speed will now ramp up when his Rocket-hammer connects with an enemy, 10/15/25% if another enemy is not hit within 1 second the speed will reset

Comments :

This buff will help with the recent shatter nerf and allow Reinhardt to close the distance needed to get value.

Wrecking Ball

Enemies now receive 50% of ultimate charge when Wrecking Ball activates adaptive shields

Comments :

None

Agree on mostly everything except Genji changes. I feel like 6 second CD on deflect would be too strong, I would keep it at 8 and just fix the hitbox glitches he has.

Also I think instead of increasing ult charge I would just make blade non dmg boostable so naked blade doesn’t change but nano blade is no longer a thing which holds his midfight back from being viable

Also for Hanzo maybe reduce storm arrows to 4 if you give old projectile speed back

I think Brig changes are good

With regards to Genji, there is a reason I dont want to reduce that damage, mostly because hours and hours of muscle memory has been built up for slash dash, and I already nerfed Ana’s nanoboost to where Genji would effectively only have 250 health allowing him to get shut down more easily

Now that’s a hefty nerf, that’s really his only utility. I don’t think we should nerf utility, rather damage or healing for supports. No-go.

Brigitte change is interesting and makes her less powerful for sure. Well this a way to force her to heal less. Makes her more clunky, Brigitte haters like that.

Genji, everything else yes, but Genji with 6 second deflect and same 2 sec+cancellable? That sounds kinda nuts, idk if I like that

Mercy
Rez is a bit worse, but uhh 80 heal/s is that a typo?

Reinhardt change is actually great, thats a really good idea. That way they don’t have to buff his shield etc. Interesting!

Wrecking ball nerf, well yeah sure. Wouldn’t hurt ball that much really

While I like the Bastion changes, some changes really concern me:

Why do DPS and Support heroes get the same buff but tanks get a different one?

Resurrect is already a risky ability which can also be easily interrupted. Making her unable to move is really no different from her current state. Just worse and gives the enemy team a free kill and free ult charge.
Also why must she become visible to her enemies?

As written in its description, Inspire says Striking enemy heroes with your Flail heals nearby allies. And Whipshot basically uses her Flail. This makes no sense.

I’ve got nothing to say about the other changes.

Brigitte changes are awful. Really, all of them are bad. The Nanoboost idea is interesting, but the rest of it is actively bad.

Bap already has the most utility out of all supports, IF has become really hard to destroy due to the return of double shield, I think this change will make it easier to deal with

Im actually changing the Genji part rn

as for Mercy yes that was a typo lmao

Most utility as in just the immortality field, I’d argue Ana, Lucio, Brigitte and Zenyatta have the highest utility value. I think the biggest thing why double barrier works is the very high AoE healing numbers and only after that the survival abilities. If there weren’t constant Brigitte inspire+Baptiste clunking 66.6 heal/s, they would be absolutely destroyed by dive. Baptiste IF is the last thing to nerf, as it already has pretty fair cooldown and low uptime.

Rather like flip Sigma shield as 600 and Orisa shield as 700, so that comp becomes even more static with less flexibility

Brig needs a nerf to RNG peel thats whats been broken about her this entire time, the ability to peel while still having full frontline value, these changes make her chose, and honestly id be willing to give her back 50dmg shield bash as well.

Also, Saying “its bad” contributes nothing to the thread, maybe if you would be willing to list why?

Bruh from the title I thought these were official smh.

Just revert deflect to pre buff but also make blade non damage boostable.

Those Brigitte change would gut her even more. She now has to be even closer to her team to heal them? And she has no way to activate inspire without being in someone’s face? You gave her 25 extra armor to compensate?

I mean, currently she is the best Healer in top-tier play… re-forcing double shield meta and gutting Tracer for McCree, The game is better when Brig is bad, In my 100% bias opinion, Remove her

RNG? There is no RNG about it. And it’s not broken. She’s not broken at all. All this is is a thinly-veiled #DeleteBrig suggestion simply because you don’t like having to play around a low-range support.

RNG, its not constant it based off of whenever brig does damage which doesnt correlate with her actual needing to be aware of her situation, The reason I want brig gone is because the game is in its healthiest states when she is garbage, like the past few weeks.

Lol, what?

Did Mercy hurt you or something?

Rez already puts you in a huge window of ‘I’m here; come shoot me!’, and you wanna not only stop her from rezzing at angles, but also prevent any form of self-peeping as well as granting the every enemy sights to her location?

Lmao, sure. While we’re at it, let’s make Brigitte has 150 total health.

No, I just think the ability to resurrect in a 6v6 team based shooter isnt at all balanced.

Not a bad idea to make Brig 150hp, when she isnt played the game is better.

They won’t remove anyone from the game. I thought everyone already knows this by now.
Also:

How on earth is Brig considered the best healer? Even in top-tier play?

NO.

GOD PLEASE NO :sob:

Huge no. With that sort of healing, she wouldnt even need to use Resurrect and would get her ultimate incredibly fast.

Plus a nerf to an already rarely used ability is no-go for me, especially when it doesnt really change much of the frustration of the ability that people point out, for a huge healing buff that would make her even stronger when somehow Mercy is the strongest support in the game.
