Before the match started I was kicked twice, it’s not my internet connection but I am sure this is a ingame problem! (Maybe ps4 only) fix this please!
they can’t, if they make it so people who disconnected instead of leaving keep their sr then people can just unplug or turn off their router, disconnect, and search for a better game, there’s no way to fix that part, but if it is in-game they need to fix that. (i play on xbox and have seen matches that are VERY suspicious of DDOS, if you want i can explain what happened)
I don’t mind the 10 min ban I just want to play but I can’t…
They werent talking about the ban and loss of SR to be fixed but to fix the issue of the game kicking them out of no where for no reason and getting penalized for it.
Unfortunately all disconnections and game crashes counts as leaving the match and will be penalized appropriately. The game server has no way to discern a legitimate disconnection or game crash from one that is forcefully caused by a dishonest player to bypass leaver penalties. Remember if you see the message, “Lost Connection to the Server” in the title screen or the message “Failed to Connect to Server” in yellow text in the text chat box, this means there is something that disrupted your connection to the game server and not a problem with the game server itself. There can be a variety of reasons this happens including those that don’t disconnect your computer from the Internet. There is great troubleshooting to start with that can most likely resolve most issues and I encourage you to check them out here:

Connection, Installation, or Voice Chat problems include this as well:
- Some WinMTR tests to the Overwatch server you’re playing on. If you can’t log into the game, you can use the generic overwatch login server IP for your region. Otherwise, run these tests while the problem is actively happening. If you catch a disconnection or latency issue with the test, it will make it easier for us to find the problem.

Run the test until you encounter the issue again, or for at least 10 minutes.
Share your results in a reply:
- Click the “Copy Text to clipboard” button after you’ve finished the test.
- Paste the text in a reply, highlight it, then click </> on the post editor.
- Break links by adding a space before .com/.net, so you can post them. Please do not remove full hostnames instead of adding spaces, as this makes troubleshooting much more difficult.
Just received a 30 minute suspension because I keep getting disconnected from the server. This is the first time I have ever received a suspension since I started playing at launch.
This is not the appropriate thread to voice issues, because again, it is 2 years old. Please use this thread, instead.
yeah… cool policy… “OUR server kicked YOU from the game, so WE are going to penalize YOU with 30 min ban and 100 SR!” yeah, that’ll teach me to expect a functioning game from you blizzard, you sure showed me! my bad i guess!
