100m players lets talk

So overwatch 2 hit 100m all time players my question is how many of those are smurfs i personally own 10 or so accounts

Is this really a question or do you want to say “look, OW has NOT a big playerbase!”?

Because most people (like 80-90%) are casuals with only one account. People who have more than two should be around 3% at best or even lower.

In the end it should be around 70-80 million players.

Got to admit it made me laugh because there’s like 10 people on forums constantly posting wah wah 6v6 or wah wah marvel … or wah wah ow is dying … or posts like ^^^^^ but meantime there’s a 100 million actually enjoying the game :joy:

That really entertained me.

All time players also count accounts that were created in season 1 and never played on since.

If they specified “active accounts” then it’s accounts that have been played on within a certain timeframe (wether it’s within season or week, there’s no telling)

This is overall accounts, not active players. I believe the avg amount of players on during June was 30k, with peaks of around 50k, according to steam charts.

Thats not nothing but… adding in all the other ways to play OW doesnt equal 100 mil. Like thats hilarious to think that many actually play.

Its a shiny thing Blizz can congratulate themselves about, but doesn’t mean all that much imo.

They aren’t active players. That’s all time players from the very beginning of OW.

100 millions registered accounts. Not active. It counts even those guys that played ow1 in the first day only then never picked it up again.

Well I don’t think that’s clear actually.

if they were 100 millions players que times would be instant for qp and all the way till diamond for comp.

On console they are. I have to exit queue between games so I have time to endorse.

If it was active players they definitely would’ve said so because it would make them look much better. When it comes to PR always assume that when something isn’t clear, it’s likely not skewed to the positive in reality.

I doubt there are even 200k active players combined all consoles + pc.

They don’t say whether it concurrent, active or what they classify that player count, I’m just assuming it’s 100 unique accounts throughout OW2’s lifespan

Amazing you can tie your shoes in the morning if you think 100 million people are playing OW, I hope your parents don’t let you cross the road unsupervised.

Theres no way theres 100m overwatch players. I doubt there is even 5 million unless they are all on console or something. If there was really that many players my queue times wouldn’t be 15+ minutes all the time.

Lol yeah & 80% of them are cheaters hackers bots & smurfs.

It’s 100m

I don’t think anyone truly cares what the split is

Can confirm, my console queues are much shorter than my PC queues

10 accounts, woo, you do love Overwatch !

Sorry to say it but smurfs are probably a minority.

I mean, the most populated ranks are Gold and around.
I guess smurfs are at least Diamond +.

I wonder why you’d ask about the number if you are conscious you’re participating at it with 10 accounts.

But 100M is just players who launched the game once. It doesn’t mean there are 100 millions players each day.
