There’s a game in workshop someoen made where
What I want is to make that game into a proper game with a winner after reaching 20,000 points
I was almost done with it yesterday but had to stop. The fact is : i don’t understand why you want to put a cap on 20.000 damages, since there are 31 heroes, it means you can’t cross all the cast and seems pretty sad.
So I’ve worked on this basis but increased the cap to 35000 (allowing extra damages to be worth it with any hero). If it doesn’t suit you, i’ll get it back to 20.000.
I also made a few ajustments to make the game funnier, like doubling every hp to free the damage potential of every hero or increasing the ultimate generation so players will be able to use it before reaching the 1k damages and switch.

The game that already exists starts you on a random dps 8 dps + 1 tank (5th) + 1 support (10th) in loop. which I think is cool
The one you made seems to start always with Symm? No one joined my game so I didn’t test it fully btw
I forgot to mention the 1000 next hero gun game is always havana aim arena which is a huge open space so you can damage quickly
Try searching 1000 damage next hero in custom games to test it if you can to get a closer idea

Yes i’ve seen that mode after finishing mine. The problem is that if you want to make it viable and balanced, you must build a specific route for every hero switch. Keeping the random heroes just put rng in the game mode and then it’s useless trying to add a win condition as every hero deals different damages. In my opinion no one would like it.
But if you still want to do that, just add 2 rules to the existing code : one that creates a variable of total damage dealt, and another one that makes the victory if you go upper than 20.000. But i still think that people won’t like it.
I’ve tried my mode yesterday and it seemed to have its small success and no one said i had to change anything in the settings. I’ll keep it this way for now, i don’t like the fact that i’m “stealing” someone else’s code just for 2 more rules, that’s why I’ve built my version based on what I’d understand of your request.
Ok just tested the game. It was awesome. Lot of people joined, said it was fun
It ran a bit long though, the time expired and were still at 30 kills.
They’re both fun to play. Sometimes people want a deterministic game like gauntlet. Sometimes people want a random game like mystery hero
And that’s the beauty of workshop, there’s a lot of room for creativity and I believe we’re just scratching the surface.
I have no experience with code tho but I am only good at knowing how to think the concept of what would make the game fun.
