Wanted to play some OW2 after a couple of months, the moment i launched the game my cpu usage spikes to 100% and stays there without dropping a single % at any moment while gpu is stays around 10% and lower, the game runs at around 20fps even in menus and stutters on top of it.
I used to play it at stable 144fps

rx 6700 xt
16gb of ram
game is installed on an ssd

I get this problem too whenever I have anything else at all running. Can’t even listen to music during queue or it throws a tantrum.
I just play at 30fps now instead of 120 cause at least it is slightly more stable.

I do not have this issue with any other game, to top it off i reinstalled the entire OS from scratch (unrelated reason, it was time to do it anyway) and with clean fresh OS and all fresh, all up to date drivers the issue persists.
Sure looks like this is the end of my overwatch adventure after 1500ish hours.
Any software like MSi afterburn?
nope, only freshly installed and updated windows 10 with only steam, bnet, discord and all up to date drivers
