Yup, I got 10 tier skips as well and have no idea why. I actually searched Google and your post is the only thing I came across (so far) asking that very question.

Seems like everyone actually got the skips so I guess there is no special reason for it…
I did not get anything. So … it wasn’t everyone.

Probably for chinese new year. It’s not uncommon to give gifts. Free skips for next season if you’ve completed your BP!
Um, what were you doing when you got the skips? That would be useful for me. I bought the BP but I actually havent played much.
Probably to incentivice to keep playing the game. Me as an example, im not playing Overwatch as much(with the 10 tier skips I’m at 43 right now), usually by the mid patch I have the BP completed. When someone does not complete a battlepass means that the game it’s not important or not worth their time, in COD MW2 when my friends and I stopped playing as much whe didnt complete the battlepass and started playing less and less. Why play if I know I’m not getting something out of it or buy a battlepass when I 100% know I’m not gonna complete it?
The fact that they are giving skins for free and discounting them with the Maximillian vault means they ara losing a lot of players with MR and need player retention.
Would you play OW2 as much if the battlepass was much harder to complete? (in this scenario is harder because people play less time)

I got 10 skips as well, banked for next season. I’ve no idea why they’re doing this, nothing in the patch notes either. They’ve never just given 10 skips for free. Strange.
