The heroes in Overwatch 2 SUCK. Even the ones I PLAY! Here’s one thing about EVERY HERO in OVERWATCH that I hate.
D.Va: Remech is a cheesy april fools joke of an ultimate. It’s not enofugh that she gets a second life. Instead everyone around her in a ludicrous vicinity gets instakilled for trying to stop her from getting back in. Even worse is that it encourages idiots like me to make idiodic plays to humiliate the enemy team, when 90% of the time it doesn’t work.
Doomfist: Anytime I see this guy, I know the game is about to be cancer. How is it possible that a stereotype can appear for a character that isn’t even hidden. This person will not switch off of Doomfist no matter how hard he’s countered. I hate that this guy can become extremely difficult to kill just by spamming his low cooldowns. Worse yet, I can’t even say it’s easy cause I know it isn’t. Most obnoxious tank in the game besides Ball.
Junker Queen: The passive healing she gets is too much. She can sustain herself by just meleing everything. Combine that with an cooldown accelerator on her axe and she can feel unkillable.
Orisa: Gotta love characters with a stun on a low cooldown. Not only is she unkillable during Fortify, she gets to just push people around like a hypocrite.
Rammatra: Should not be able to use Nemesis Form after using Annihilation. He just got out of using his ultimate that can be used to reset his armor for Nemesis Form, no reason for him to do it again.
Reinhardt: Super weak to range opponents it’s not even a joke. Hitscan on highground? Your only option is to stand there with your shield and hope someone else can take care of it. Some matches are unwinnable if you want to play Rein. He’s too reliant on Lucio.
Roadhog: He’s not even a character anymore. He’s so bad that people just laught when he’s played. He’s so easy to counter and he doesn’t have any upsides that make him worth using. I’m pretty sure Blizzard lied about the rework.
Sigma: His Mythic Skin sucks. Not the aesthetic, but the voicelines. Sigma has a really amaing character that seeps into his amazing voice acting. Galactic Emperor ruins it by making it feel boring. I wish I had the option to use his normal voice lines while using his Mythic, but that’s unrealistic and goes against the point of a mythic.
Winston: His shield has too much hitpoints and the cooldown feels too low. If one of those were to go, the shield would be in a much better place.
Wrecking Ball: A hero whose whole purpose is to piss you off. Nigh unkillable with his absurd overhealth, and speed that feels unreal for a tank. Do not buff this character, especially his damage.
Zarya: No one finds two instances of INVULNERABILITY problamatic? Especially every 10 seconds? She can just walk at you at high charge and there is nothing you can do about it except wait for her bubble to go away unless you want to feed her energy. In that time she’s probably getting healed.
Ashe: Dynamite is bullsh*t. It does too much damage, gives her too much ult charge, and shouldn’t be getting damage boosted. Take cover from the psuedo-sniper getting damage boosted and your Hp bar melts from an explosion hitbox the size of Greenland.
Bastion: The health buff when transforming is nutty. I get they wanted to increase his survivablility but it removes any window of opportunity to stop him from transforming. Otherwise Bastion isn’t terrible.
Cassidy: Mag Grenade doesn’t feel magnetic enough. Sometimes I throw it next to an opponent and it flies right past them. It’s also such a horrible way to stop mobile heroes because of how little it takes to do so.
Echo: Screw her burst damage. It isn’t enough that she can stay in the air forever because of her commicaly low cooldown that lets her fly, no she gets to do so much damage from her right click and laser that you have no chance of living unless both supports are on your butt.
Genji: Deflect needs some indication that it is coming out. It make or breaks matchups because for most heroes it makes hit invulnerable from the front. He can also cancel because why not add a level of unpredictability to not being able to get damaged.
Hanzo: This character should not be able to one shot a full health target. Especially considering how easy it is to spam with this guy.
Junkrat: Junkrats who instantly throw a mine at you when you see them are bad at this game. They bank on you having low Hp and it’s annoying being throw in the air for what feels like an eternity.
Mei: Blizzard is impossible to avoid as certain tanks. Unless you have an instant escape option, you just die because of how quickly tanks get frozen.
Pharah: This character is way too polarazing for the roster to take down, especially when getting pocketed by Mercy. Heck, some hitscans have a hard time due to her lack of damage falloff, and being healed constantly.
Reaper: His range is too limited and he only works on certain maps. Why is he one of the three characters that don’t have a left click. Give him something to deal with range, even if it isn’t super strong.
Soldier 76: His damage is pretty ridiculous and I hate it when Soldiers just stand still on highground knowing that nothing can touch them while they play Shooting Gallery with his buffed damage.
Sombra: Translocator is toxic af. It doesn’t matter if you are taking her out of the fight, good Sombras can get in and out like it doesn’t matter. She’s functionally immortal and her damage against hacked targets is ridiculous.
Soujorn: It’s hard to judge how much charge she has. You can only tell when it’s high, but her left click just comes out of nowhere and makes you feel like you died too quickly.
Symmetra: Who though it was a good idea to let her 2-shot you? Not only does she spam a fast moving giant hitbox, but doing 100 damage with those fast charging babies is disgusting.
Torbjorn: Stop giving this guy buffs. His fire rate is obscene and his spam is getting absurd.
Tracer: I hate how much Tracer players think they’re God’s gift to the earth when they play with the tiniest character ever that can teleport. It took so much skill you blink right behind an opponent and then do it again when they turn around. Blink also allows her to run away so easily cause you know you are about to kill her, but then a mini healthpack keeps her alive for what feels like forever cause of how tiny she is.
Widowmaker: Fundamentally changes how the game is played. Good Widowmakers require you to play specific characters to get around her. I guess forcing people to swap isn’t overcentralizing in the slighting because aim is that much of a precious skill that can’t be criticized or limited. She doesn’t require any teamwork and is just there for solo carry potential.
Ana: Anti-nade is warcrime that she will never pay for. It should do at most 20 damage because effectively lowering a target’s max hp with an ult on such a short cooldown is levels of unfair that require a specific hero to counter.
Baptiste: Immortality Field is another ultimate on cooldown. Especially given how much health it has. Takes a few shots to kill it and in that time the overpowered support passive kicks in to let him live even further. Nullifying plays because you pressed E is stupid.
Brigitte: I can’t do a damn thing about ranged characters. Pharmercy is literally impossible to play against. Her whipshot is a joke and her only niche is against characters that dive the backline.
Illari: I wish I could talk about this purposefully overtuned monstrosity, but I’ll just focus on her pylon. The range and healing are way too much, especially because it gives the team effectively a sixth player compared to the other turrets which do little damage and are easier to kill. She’s a crutch in Deathmatch because the pylon is a crutch and her hitscan is BS.
Kiriko: I want to Suzu myself, but it comes out so late by the time the explosion goes off I’m dead. That doesn’t make any sense. It’s like if there was a delay when Ana throws a nade.
Lifeweaver: He’s becoming difficult to kill. Restore a bunch of Hp and move away. If that doesn’t work, just leave the planet with the petal. No need to engage with the pesky enemy team if you can keep doing your job from 20 feet in the air.
Lucio: I hate Lucio players that play selfishly. Unless you are a god gamer, stay back and play with the team by actually providing some help with making plays.
Mercy: Pressing shift and space doesn’t take skill. Stop pretending it does. I played Mercy for a long time and I can say she’s commically easy. Don’t listen to Mercy mains who want to cope about being good at the game when she’s by far the easiest character in the game. Just sit back and let your pocket take care of the game for you.
Moira: I don’t hate Moira. I just laugh at her. She’s so easy to take care of if you have any mechanical skill in the slightest. What is she going to do with her pitiful 50 damage per second? She needs to commit her orb to do anything meaningful, especially with how easily her healing runs out. Noob character that tricks people into playing easy characters.
Zenyatta: If just dive the hero was that simple. If it’s that easy you are fighting bad Zenyattas. Good ones just throw discord on you and kill you, or they play with a team that protects him. His survivability isn’t as horrible as people say it is. His damage makes up for it.
This is an opinion piece. I’m being more toxic than I normally am. None of these things bother me to the degree that it makes me truly upset.
