Queue times haven’t changed for me. I get games in like 20-25 seconds. IMO, hero limits is one of the very few good decisions the devs made.
And how do you even know what the player numbers are? Where can I see this?

Future patches will be coming out! We get to try more balancing from OW1 while experiencing some old reworks too! I’m super excited for this mode.
While launch isn’t a good state to release, it was strictly for nostalgic fun. Definitely isn’t meant to be played competitively.
girlypop do you actually think that OWC was balanced at launch.
You know that steam numbers only show the people playing it using steam, right? Which are bound to be newer people too.
Most people playing OW are Battle.net users.
Most probably. Still doesnt change the fact that playing matches without role queue quickly derails into a miserable time for everyone playing
The dps dont have fun cus they blame everyone else for not swapping to tank/support to enable them to play. Instalocking dps sounds fun until you run into a actual enemy team with a decent team comp and suddenly you cant do anything. When they have enemy tanks in their face denying them kills with no tank themself to enable them it swiftly turns to toxicity and finger pointing for everyone
Any player who does lock tank or support is usually stuck solo in that role and as we know from 5v5 with tank having all the pressure on 1 person isnt fun.
It also heavily restricts what is playable cus if you try and solo support with a hero like zen you would get flamed. The same will exist in marvel rivals. Off supports like loki and adam warlock who are meant to be more utility/flanky supports will get you flamed for not picking mantis or luna, who are considered the more main supports who focus more on healing.
Role queue is what enables a reasonable team comp and makes the game overall a more consistent experience for everyone.
100% the game will be fun for the first few weeks as people try different heroes and comps out. But as soon as the novelty wears off and people start to lock in that is when things like no role queue will start to sour the experience. Having to solo support every match doesnt bring back fond memories of overwatch. The same will be for marvel rivals
Pretty much, RQ should’ve been comp only and a separate queue for QP or arcade.
But making it replace QP was probably what really cut into the casual players. I just hope this time, 6 v 6 RQ would be a separate mode/arcade, as well as not being the balance standard.
Blizzard doesn’t want the people to be able to play their favorite hero .
Imagine, being able to play the character you love each time you play the game… That would be too fun… Blizzard won’t allow it!
Way more than OW2 for sure.
This is simply false. Not only the new players are non existent in this game but if they were, they wouldn’t care about classic OW to begin with. A lot of users have moved to steam for continence and if the steam numbers are getting a hit so does the bnet ones as well.
Its a f2p game. There is an influx of new players constantly. Not big, but enough. Whatever they care enough about the game enough to learn it instead of just going into QP and throwing memeing with friends for a while is another thing.
You would be surprised by the amount of people that started in late OW1 or OW2 and actually are curious about things like mass rez, scatter arrow and Sym/Torb/Mei/etc.
Re-installing a f2p game in another platform is not convenience.
There are tons of f2p games with little to no population. OW is no different.
how many are going to login just for that?
It is if they are returning after not playing for a long time.
I actually reinstalled at day one just to get rid of the bnet launcher.
How do you know this?
I am not playing cause I have the challenges, which I’m assuming happened to others and why there are less players in OWC.
I would have played a lot more casually if there were limits in the first week or so. But there wasn’t and the mode got frustrating and led me to not enjoy it as I faced Widows every game and stupid team comps. Only so much of that chaos I can take personally before I am just entirely drawn away from the mode. But that’s just a personal preference of mine, can’t speak for anyone else, I like some form of order and team synergy which is not present in OWC no limits.
I just think it was a bad call to do 1 limits with the 21 heroes.
I thought they were going to patch in more to give Support and tank more variety.
It’s still good but it is too much of an uphill battle to have consistent play with F-tier launch heroes
As the quick play queue rules tightened I found myself playing less and less until I didn’t play at all with OW2.
what you mean, nobody is playing overwatch classic or everyone is playing overwatch classic and they stopped playing any 5vs5 mode? or nobody is playing any mode?
how many stay? steam numbers never ever increase, they have some peaks but is on the avarage 30k all the time
What? Where? When? I want to try it with ow2 settings
Arcade.
Bottom right.
No limits, 5v5, OW2 balance.

Thanks man!

Almost like… console players exist. Wait no that’s crazy no one plays OW2 on console
Yall say this and then be the SAME people to moan about 5 dps.
Most people were begging for some kind of role queue. Y’all gotta stop with this stance that role queue was a bad thing for overwatch LMFAO.
