1 Bad Player Shouldn't Have That Much Sway

5v5 is terrible, and will never work.

It’s too small of a team, and really only works for OWL.

For the millions of other players trying to enjoy this game, good luck.

1 bad player ruins your game.

Also, they need more modes in this game so people don’t have to play 5v5 if they don’t want to. If they had a larger scale battle, like 12v12, where YOUR play mattered (and not the matchmaker finding some horribad tank for you) then I would never touch 5v5.

5v5 is the only option. So, we play it. Except, it sucks and everyone knows it.

I don’t even agree with that. All it did for owl was make fights super fast. Its less entertaining than 6v6 imo

yeah… and alot more “one meta” focused

The game is great atm, I’m loving it.

if single players have more impact, they have more impact both ways. ’
you have the potential to carry more than you did in ow1.
a bad player losing you a game isn’t new to 5v5, but what is new to 5v5 is the amount of carry potential you have regardless of role.

Would you rather have double shield back?

Yes, honestly, people would probably prefer double shield to what we have currently. At least double shield had teamwork elements in basically every rank…

If one tank refused to counter pick you at least had another who could do it anyway and try to do it solo.

Now if your tank refuses to counter pick, you’ve lost the game and there is nothing that you can do about it. You’ve just lost.

you are mistaken af dude

You have to be trolling cause it definitely didn’t lol.

With hidden rigging, the game gives you almost no repeat agency to carry, but tons of agency to throw. Tryhard your best and it barely impacts the result. But soft next? easy loss for your team over and over (until you finally get that forced win).

It’s amazing just how free it is to RUIN games by just playing passively. The matchmaker never seems to accomodate underperformance and biases to handicap for overperformance. The gameflow is just such a mess and the rigging too oppressive that anyone can toss the match on a whim.

I guess you preferred the later season Hog Ball meta where the tanks probably only saw each other at spawn every game ? Absolutely 0 teamwork at all.

honestly… no, but it is better than this…

A bad player isn’t just playing bad, they are decreasing team morale, anybody that goes GG when we lose first point within the first minute are just saboteurs.

That was never meta. Lol

Yeh, it was… So was Ball DVA, Ball Hog.

Ball dva was played, ball hog was not meta. Unless you want to show me which OWL stage ever played that.

This, 1 death with larger amount of players makes less impact. Now 1 pick is instant roll pretty much.

One of your teammates gets sniped you lose
Tank refuses to counterpick you lose

Less players per team implies more impact, good or bad. Sure I hate losing matches because there is 1 dude that should definitely not win the match, but if you do well stat wise, you should not take a huge hit.

PBSR is there for that, the issue is that we dont know what is happening from match to match. THAT is what sucks.

I think they could have fixed double shield without removing a tank. 5v5 has ruined the game. Heroes had to be changed just for the sake of it while others remained the same. Tanks are. buffed to the point where if you have a bad tank or a new player then you lose. Why couldn’t they just have had main tank and off tank, and if a player picks main then the other can only choose from off? Or just nurf shields, give them less health or give DPS more ways to take them down or shoot through them. Feels like they went to 5v5 to try and make the game different enough to warrant a “2”, but instead they’ve just ruined it.
