(1 am post) Why I prefer Fallout 76 over Overwatch

Overwatch is very limiting on what you can do in a session. The community is very toxic. Dev goals don’t seem well planned and a little random on the reasoning most of the time but don’t seem to keep the community in the know.

Fallout 76 is very free on what you can do in a session. The community is mostly friendly. Devs goals don’t seem well planned and a little random on the reasoning a little but do seem to keep the community in the know.

Also Fallout 76 seems to do what the community wants. (Eventually)

While Overwatch refuses to answer. (And then makes it seem like the question doesn’t exist.)

(Oops was trying to delete this but posted it by mistake.) (just leaving it and going to bed.)

Comparing OW to the worst game out there.

I love this tactic. Maybe it will make them wake up.

This is like comparing apples to oranges. They’re vastly different games and Bethesda only stepped it up after a plethora of backlash.

Wastelander update turned things around.

I would recommend trying again

Can’t recommend Overwatch to anyone though honestly

Yeah me either, I’m an Apex player full time now. Season 5 there looks to be pretty awesome.

Eh tbh, I wouldn’t even want to give it any support if only to set a precedent: Launches like this game had are not acceptable. Get it right out the gate or don’t even bother.

Diamonds don’t start out as Diamonds friend. Your not gonna find good games or experiences that way.

But there are games that are good at the launch?
They usualy just not the typical “game as service” that main reason to be bad is “its not complete product, but have it anyway for full price alredy. We just not gona say it in open, just say that we gona upgrade it later”
Games as service are a problem with how they are made in general.

I’m having a ton of fun with 76 (praise be to Mothman) but they’re very different games. If you like open-world stuff where you can goof off and do quests, play 76. If you like class-based MOBA shooters, play Overwatch. If you like both, play both. Though I will say Overwatch could use an alcoholic robot…

Wait, what? How is that working?

A robobrain that was made to test alcohol and stuff. Don’t know how it would work for Overwatch but I believe in the dev team.

Oh yea, i forget that in fallout robots can have organic brains.

That’s was just over half a year ago too.

76 really has changed.

(Not many bats currently.)

Triple A developers have no business releasing games on the same level of quality as steam-early access games.

100% dude!!! I’m loving Fallout 76 right now!!! I’d say most MMO’s have a rough go at it in the beginning, but Bethesda is heading in the right direction right now.

Look I am just comparing my personal experience with two groups of devs.

And the kind of effort each performs.

It might changed, but it also deserve all what it get for how it worked for so long.

to be fair, it could be way to teach devs of games like that to finish up products, not sell them then give them update they needed 2 years ago.

Was going to make a joke post claiming, “I prefer Warcraft Reforged over Overwatch”. But I couldn’t bring myself to tell that big of a lie.

…Are we talking about Overwatch or Fallout 76?

Cause in one way that still ends out negative but the other positive.

Right but if I were Bethesda, I would’ve given Obsidian exclusive rights to make their Fallout games. Bethesda’s devs, laughably, are outperformed by the modding communities for their own games.
