0-15 in comp...am I THAT bad?

Lost every placement in every role. I can’t imagine that I am THAT BAD that I cause my team to lose 15 games in a row.

But from my perspective every game. Literally was my team mates going in alone and dying. Or if we get staggered they just stay fighting until they die themselves…
Causing a whole match of every team fight being being a conveyor belt of people walking in 1 by 1 to their doom.

And I and maybe 1 or 2 more people pleading with the members to group up together…

What gives? Why am I so bad that I could go on a 15 match losing streak

according to the matchmaker, yes

every loss is your fault and you are always the constant games

this is blizzards design

It happened to me before too. It really tilted me so I took a step back and just played some other games. When I came back I started climbing.

Imo that’s just straight up bad luck this game has really bad rng with teammates compared to say smite or paladins because they actually show the mmr and who is bad and who isn’t.Smite also does ranked a lot better than this game

Everyone has those days. I had them myself too.
If I loose 2 in a row (maybe 3) I’ll stop for a while, I’ll play quick play then or arcade.

If u loose too much in a row, you’ll make more and more mistakes bcs you’re getting to much into that: I need to win - feeling.

Just take a break next time and try it again!

I’m really upset I had to cut it off because I started getting this feeling of helplessness as I begged my team to please group up and coordinate they just spammed for healing.

Just walking in dying, walking in doing a ult with no back up. Every. Game.

Just an unlucky streak. I am sure you will win 15 in a row. Don’t worry about it too much. Best not to concern yourself with teammates, waste of time.

And I wanted to add in OP that I do win. But I never have a good game anymore or what constitutes to me as a good game.

A good game to me is a back and forth match between equally skilled players.

All of my matches are squashes. Mostly my team being squashed. When I win its also a squash or they have leavers/throwers.

I have a 32% win percentage so I lose ALOT. I’m level 390 so I have some hours.

I just don’t get it.

Look at your match history, did you win three times in a row?
Blizzard matchmaking states that you are not allowed to have more than three consecutive wins, so now you get consecutive losses so that your win rate goes back to 50%.

Thank you for using Blizzard matchmaking!

no. you lost PLACEMENT matches, which were NEVER at the fair rank to test your skills. Wait until your rank stabilizes and just grind and learn. placement matches are randomly throwing you into different ranks to see where you should be, and they’re not even good at doing that. so you might very well have played against masters and diamonds when you’re say, plat or whatever. don’t take losses in placement to EVER mean anything, just keep playing.

Wrong, there was zero matchmaking in all 15 of those games because they were all placement matches. Op should ignore them and keep playing.

well reality hurts

Inside your head you might be Dafran level, while in reality…

You are neither good nor ‘bad’, just calibrating to your true skill. Just have fun with the game.

I never thought or implied I was. I’m platinum rank and I know that’s where I am.

I’ve climbed from bronze to there so I’ve seen the skill gaps.

Platinum rank shouldn’t have players that run in like level 1 bots dying alone.

But I am sure you came here just to insult me and not actually contribute to the topic.

Don’t play ranked on the weekend. It’s cursed in every game.

Just share all 15 (or 10 replays).
The common mind will judge your case

I can’t speak too much for console, but… (some things echoed from others, I’m sure)

  • Weekend queues are the absolute worst, esp Fri/Sat nights games can be decent or the worst games I’ve ever played online in any genre.
  • Don’t play when you’re discouraged, sick, or tilted. Only play comp when you’re rested, fed (not excessively), watered, and feeling well (if you want to care about how you do).
  • Placements can be very silly. I’ve lost like 9 (or majority) placement matches before in some arcade comp modes (felt like the games were horrid/I couldn’t do much) and still placed higher than I ever have before.

Also: Try not to care as much or put pressure on yourself (aka don’t tie comp to your ego or skill level in OW). Performance anxiety and the like can ruin games. It’s like when you’re an insecure Widow and the Mercy powers you up, all of a sudden some people forget how to aim. Other factors like the matchmaker, and region/time of day can also affect you.

That’s all I have, other than Comp is often a hole. Brings out the absolute worst in some people, and maybe the teamplay aspect of OW is amazing in theory, really difficult with randos in practice. Also, tier matters (as well as the platform).

The matchmaker in this game is horrible.

There’s no fair games, you stomp or get stomped.

i dont think its entirely your fault maybe even not your fault at all these days there has been a massive amount of hackers and aimbotters in games doesnt matter if its comp or qp or arcade

Don’t take comp seriously. Or any games.

People don’t group up regularly until Masters.

Hoping that ow2 has some clan mechanism in place as fed up of so many games decided by which team has most brain dead feeders on it.

Circa 90% of games, win or loss, are stomps.

ow1 is super dead. just not enough players and smurfs trying to avoid long q times have completely broken the matchmaking.
