This is just nitpicking, but did you had a specific reason to use 50 there, or is it just a placeholder number?
When I present my shield change proposal (no white HP damage while still having blue HP) usually I set the threshold on 300, because that’s the exact damage you take from a Reinhardt Charge (the most balanced one shot in the game), but in my mind I would also either reduce Widow’s headshot multiplier back to x2, or her base damage to 100, with the specific reason that she isn’t able to bypass this threshold. And I keep thinking about increasing her headshot multiplier while Infrasight is active would be a nice thing to do.
But when I’m lazy to explain all that, I just set the threshold to 400, so that people quickly understand I don’t want to see Symmetra dancing around a Self-Destruct and laughing it off because she have shields.

It was just a quick placeholder number that would allow squishies to survive a widow headshot with my made up damage formula, albeit barely.
I read your idea, and we essentially have the same thing in mind. I don’t think it matters if we scale it or place a hard limit threshold, as long as a) it can’t be used constantly by getting your shield HP healed right back up and 2) it won’t tank big nukes like riptire and d.va bomb.
Glad I’m not the only one in favor of this
