[✅] No More UltCharge Feeding from Poke Damage

Dev’s are looking into Tank design. Particularly one angle on that is “Why does DoubleOffTank suck”. Especially because Tanking as a whole would be more popular if DoubleOffTank wasn’t equivalent to throwing the game for most skill tiers.

So here’s one approach to solve the biggest issue with DoubleOffTank: UltCharge Feeding.

Ultimate Charge only gained passively or by kills:

  • Method 1: Ultimate charge gained on kills is shared equally with the team
  • Method 2: Ultimate charge gained on kills is shared equally with the team, but only to teammates that aren’t dead.
  • Method 3: Ultimate charge gained on kills is shared equally with the team, but only to teammates that are within a set range to the killer or killed enemy.
  • Method 4: Ultimate charge gained from kills applies equally to assists.
    • Shooting through a teammate barrier counts as an assist.

Either approach would remove the entire concept of Ult charge feeding off of poke damage.

Throw in some way to deal with Earthshatter and Bionade, and there wouldn’t be much difference between Tanks besides vulnerability to burst ranged damage (i.e. Snipers)

That said, I wonder if it would cause improved or worse teamplay/selfishness.

I don’t see how either of these stop feeding.

Method 1 I think wouldn’t be good because imagine those one sided matches.
Method 4 seems the most fair.
