I can’t believe you guys decided “let’s allow one player to possibly ruin an entire playthrough for three other players”. This is such a toxic concept when players already have REPORTABLE offenses that can ruin a gameplay, you guys went ahead and gave them a “legal” way to ruin our gameplay??
Honestly I don’t even care, whoever betrays me in Cosmic Crisis in Legendary or above gets three reports to bring home.
Like, there’s an event challenge for doing it, sometimes people do it to do the challenge, they shouldn’t be reported like that.
Then do it on lower difficulties. Ruining the game of 3 isn’t worth the points of 1.
I seriously hope everyone who betrays in the newer versions get permabanned.
Playing the game mode the way it was intended is not a bannable offense. Instead of false flagging people, you should get a group together and agree on working together.
It’s really stupid game mode and toxic itself. I hate this solution personally too. But you can’t report for something Blizzard allowed players to do

You have to betray to get one of the achievements. And you need to win against a betrayal to get another.
I don’t think your position of reporting betrayers is even remotely reasonable.

Honestly I’m tired of people not betraying, the mode is so much more boring that way

having a traitor actually makes less robots spawning making it easier to win. Is this whole thread just you crying because you can’t finish the legendary challenge? Why don’t you just betray for it then?

How is it easier? Theres down timers in that mode that wasnt in the normal version, so its even easier to win by betrayal, not by sticking it out.
Also, the mode is poorly balanced when it comes to the betrayer mechanic. It’s very difficult to try and get the betrayal win on normal difficulty, but very easy in harder game modes. Simply because the bots are meant to help the traitor, but the bots are little more than nuisances in the lower difficulty.
I agree. I personally did the betrayal on Expert because I didn’t want to ruin anyone’s legendary run, but like you said I wanted my attempt to be successful. And it was. And that’s the only time I’ve betrayed. But I was fortunate enough to have someone betray me on normal. We wiped the floor with them.
It just depends who you are with. I managed to get the betrayer win on easy mode with Moira.
I also got it with Hog, that took me literally 2 seconds. The Moira one took a bit of finesse.
People havent played this dumb PVE events for years because 80% of the time people troll the lobbies and players for hours…

It’s a little unreasonable to report someone for playing the event as it is designed. Your frustration is understandable, but I have a hard time imagining anything will come of it.
On the normal difficulty, a betrayer is most likely just helping the other players get an event award - seems like the deck is kind of stacked against the betrayer in normal.
Betraying on higher difficulty levels seems a lot jerkier, but people sometimes just ask at the start of the game.
Although I have been enjoying the event a great deal, having the betrayal mechanic does seem like a really obvious potential source of friction, particularly at the higher difficulty modes. I can certainly imagine it being not particularly fun to have multiple attempts scuttled by this mechanic.
Because these losers are wasting the time of 3 other players trying to complete a challenge.
This is Blizzard we’re talking about here. Full of good ideas at least in arcade we’re not punished for leaving because I’m not going to waste my time anymore until I see I’m the betrayer
I have yet to try it. So, trying something, that is part of the game mode could get me banned cause someone´s feelings got hurt?
