Anyway, he has powerful long ranged damage, which translates into pushing power. Demon Lieutenants have smite and global cast range, which translates to automatic pushing and experience gain during objectives.
He has a lot of health for a mage. (77% more than Chromie)

I like to build him for autos.
And Trample does a rather substantial amount of burst damage at pretty low cooldown, it’s not just an escape. In fact I’m sure I use it for damage more than escape.
Too many people focus too much on throwing globes at minions (and not even getting the finishing blow…) and then complain that he has poor PvP presence. If you refuse to use any abilities besides Globe, you’re going to suck with him… quit being so far back all the time.
Well yeah if you don’t focus on PvP when you play him, you’re going to have a poor PvP presence.
