Someone should post it as a topic, stronger action on players who troll matches is something people have been asking for.
I won’t as while I pass out likes, as if there is no tomorrow, I’m not in the habit of making contentious threads.

Well, I won’t post it either, as I tried 3 matches today and the “
” rating wasn’t enough to describe it. Again playing with my friend, we got matched vs 5 randoms (quite the advantage, I might say), except… enemies were universes better than us. Tried the game in recent weeks at random times during day, random day of week and so on, feels like it went downwards. Maybe the change takes time to implement, but right now am unwilling to ‘hype people up’ about the condition of the game.
I’m not seeing a source.
I’m guessing the information is from https://activeplayer.io/heroes-of-the-storm/
as that matches the numbers QB posted and other sites reference that source when they posted their numbers. The demographic breakdown is based on google searches, so that likely doesn’t indicate player populations accurately.
Similarly, the ‘active players’ probably doesn’t make a distinction between qm vs aram vs ranked vs ai vs custom where a ‘large’ group of players could bypass matchmaking systems but still be ‘active players’.

I don’t think reports should matter unless overwhelming amounts. The playerbase, I’m sorry to say this, is not reasonable. I see players who are absolutely feeding and not good go on ping spamming tirades and would also be reporting healers or other players for no good reason. Underperforming players on this game have a terrible attitude and are delusional. Instead of accepting that they aren’t good at the game they would be report spamming better players. It’s just the reality.
They have this awful unjust behavior constantly even in ARAM where it just shouldn’t matter. I don’t go on attack when we got bad players, I just keep playing, but I have to respond if I’m targeted.
Don’t answer too much or everytime, because you can get banned for that on that game.

I don’t believe this is actually true. Kusasoldier is still running around feeding 25+ times per game as Leoric, literally just got out of a game where he sandbagged us. They aren’t doing anything.

As I said in another thread, bans/suspensions aren’t instant, and should not be based on a few reports.
Spite/false reporting is still a thing, and as players can no longer open a ticket to appeal account actions, the only exception is if you can prove your account was compromised/hacked, so the threshold for banning accounts should be high.

that’s because you’re selling yourself falsehoods.
- It’s a low level account, ie new alt. It’s not a months old offender, it’s not a years old offender. I didn’t get a string of accounts for searching the name like I would if I searched for xxxOliviaxxx.
- They don’t mindlessly feed every game. They don’t have outstanding stats in games they do play, but it’s not a feed-only account so while they get tilted and have some “I’m pretending to take the fort” leoic death strats, it’s not the only thing in that player’s game history.
You fixating on a few select details, being effectively dishonest about the rest, and then using that to rationalize curbing other observations is doing yourself a disservice.

Yeah, I wouldn’t exactly call this game, “popular.”

Another lie. if someone lose an 8 year old account with special Twitch rewards on then it does something. It deters the player from being hostile and risk losing everything he spend money on.
Reports does nothing if only one player reports another. If only one report from one player was enough to ban people then you would not be here complaining about it now.
And another lie again. Cosmetics have value for some people. Maybe not for someone like you who only play basis skin on every hero and use basis avater on forums. Why would people spend another year getting everything they had back again ? If i lost my account tomorrow i sure as hell wont start another account. The time i spend grinding cosmetics have value. But again you have no clue how much value an account has when you spend 200+ euroes on it from start to now not including Twitch rewards some people got aswell from HGC and special mounts from playing ranked which you never done.
Caling every account worthless only means you never spend money in this game. And what your old account getting banned goes for: You probably deserved it. But yet here you are complaining about it when you just said every account are worthless and bans do nothing. It do something. It triggered you which you probably did 100 times prior to your ban.
Bans dont just come out of the thin air. You have to earn them with 100+ reports from people you upset one way of another or ruin games on purpose.

Not really, as one of these ranked players who lost a 8 year diamond elo aaccount just for respond to players with troll behavior (who have never been banned) and to other insults i can say to you that no one cared about that when the change of the game policy of 2018 started.
Everyone was used to see people using “abusive chat” to trolls at that time. I was one of the guys who played in peace and i barely insult other players at that time, the “worst” word i used to say at that time was “noob” and everything was fine until the game started to ban us for saying “noob” to the trolls but never to the trolls or the feeders. I lost that account in a time period of 2 year, everytime i was punished i tried to understand why i was banned so i appealed to those bans (when there were real moderators doing their work) and i learned that even saying “noob” to the trolls or to people who insult me in team was enought to make my account banned. After my account was permabanned losing everything i learned to dont care anymore about the rewards but the trolls and the flammers were still playing like nothing and that make me start to be even more agressive. I really dont care right now if i lost an account or not, i play ranked for become better and if i see a noob, a troll or a feeder destroying the game experience of the other players im gonna told them that they dont know how to play, and that is not being abusive, that is telling them the truth. If you guys dont like the truth is your problem, not mine.
And the numbers of reports is not necessary 100, it can even be 10 or less reports for get you a ban if the IA found you said something like “Noob” or “macaco”. In my own personal experience i played 3 games some years ago after being banned for 2 weeks, i had only 1 verbal fight with 1 dude who was feeding and also was insulting me, everyone else told him that the defeat was his fault and the next day i get that account banned again. So ¿How manny reports were necessary to punish me? 1? maybe 2? I answered to that kid with less abusive words than the insults he give to me so why i was banned? and why he was not? (i verified that with another account the next day).
The current moderation system is broken, banning accounts to people who play ranked trying to become better for only said things like “noob” to kids who dont care about to become better and only found joy by making other players mad only works to make more and more flammers to those serious players, making the comunity even more toxic. A general mute sanction must be enoguth for those player because that communication is crucial to coordinate with your team in ranked.

Best you can do is, hit them where it counts. They’ve only started taking action (or claimed to take action) because the quality of the matchmaking has gone terrible, which probably means a lot of the better players quit. If more people stop playing it, they’ll fix the service 
.

So yes every account is worthless . There is nothing unique or special about any account and none of it is really yours you value an illusion. And you were triggered by what I said so… I was banned by a corrupt dev named Venom for being unrepentant about not picking a healer in ARAM he called me an Ahole said he was going to ban me did so and I was playing a match with him 20 minutes later on a different valueless account. Sorry you have a hard time dealing with truth

They are in fact making the louder minorites victorious over the many. Same issue with so much games around. Devs do not understand, and I don’t blame them for that, that the crying little circle, neither the -way too much- happy little circle, both never define what the game needs.
P.S. This issue can be extended in some way, mutatis mutandis, to how the west world feels today.
