What arguments would actually convince players to not want reworks as much?

I already listed dev time could me used for making more heroes

What does one have to say that would convince you that we don’t need more heroes? Making more heroes for the sake of more heroes is only making the balancing worse, and only diverts dev time from more pressing issues with the game… Like reworking and making “dead” heroes relevant.

niche heroes that are low popularity are still used by their mains and that’s ok

This is straight up silly. They are called niche for a reason and a hero shouldn’t be niche. This goes against what the fanbois are constantly crying over…using their favorite character and it not suck.

and that reworking heroes takes away a kit from the game without maintaining the old kit so we go net even on number of kits anyway
