I have uninstalled the game and as a result, heading out of the forums.

I wish it could have been on more amicable terms, but it is what it is. This place has been fun, and I’ve gained some friends along the way. HotS has been a good portion of me for the last four years, and a great place for stress relief and fun along the way. However, I knew it couldn’t go on forever. I assumed I’d leave when the game finally imploded due to lack of playerbase, but life has a funny way of working.

Last October, my first child was born, and she’s been a light of my life. Yet, with beauty and light comes change. As a first time father, I expected things to change, but not so drastic. Time to play the game became thinner and thinner as time went on to the point where I maybe had one solid time I could play with no interruptions a week. Of course, I tried to play, because daily quests only allot three slots, but the predictable happened and a baby doesn’t always remain asleep once they start.

This wouldn’t have been a problem, because it’s a game and not a core element of my life… but a stress reliever should be, you know, a stress reliever. What do I find to be the most stress inducing? Being forced to win. So when leaver penalties force you to win in a toxic scenario, stress follows. When stress comes, toxicity follows. At a certain point, you’re no longer having fun…

So, best to pack up and call it a good run.

But, there are people on the forums that need some good mention.

Dr. Logan and Samisha: It would unfair to not mention you are a pair. The meme kings of the forums, you guys provided and still do provide a great source of entertainment for this game, and every moment was awesome. I’ll still be in your Discord, but you guys deserve a special mention anyway.

Hoku and Maximus: The two I looked up to for Artanis advice, and just generally good people. We may have had some disagreements, but I respect the hell out both of you.

Heisenburg: May you forever find all the meat you can, and Abathur IS the cutest video game character ever.

Karabars: The walking encyclopedia of hots data and miscellanous tidbits… thank you for being instructive, kind, and mature at all times.

Minky, Yolo, Imperius, Harbinger, LivingFlame, Phaseshifter, Myself, AnaBanana, MacWeak: Ya’ll were great fun and a source of optimism. Some of you I’ll still see, but if I don’t, best wishes.

There’s a few others I can’t think to mention now, but this community has been overall good, especially compared to other friends.

However, to my inevitable critics: May you friend yourself stuck in games with feeders, trolls, and leavers til the end of your days. :slight_smile:

All the rest; wish you the best, Kamizombie signing out for the last time.

You can still always play vs AI if you want no stress and less frustation about winning.

It’s less challenging than the other modes, but the mechanic of the game stay the same.

vs AI have a very active and chill community, it’s been my goto mode as a stress reliever for the last 2 years, after being a hardcore HL player for years.

But there is other way to find stress reliever. You might even have found another in your baby. :slight_smile:

I’m really glad that the forum community is not toxic and is kind to you in your farewell, if you had said goodbye in the Latin American community they would have even insulted and mocked you.
I hope you do excellent and that your daughter has a good life :slight_smile:

Sorry we ended up disagreeing strongly, but things happen.

This is the most important thing. Congratulations on the family, and yes, children do change things radically. It isn’t something you can ever totally prepare for. Take time to enjoy this, as it won’t last as long as you wish, and there is literally nothing like it. Things do settle down, though, and there may come a time where you will have the space and leisure to come back to multi-player games.

And who knows, maybe someday the two of you can play together! I have a friend with an 8 year old daughter, and we sometimes play vs AI as a group, so she can play, too. I once Cho’d for her Gall in AI, and it was the cutest thing ever!

This is a logical descision. Your kid is more importantl than a game.
Try animal crossing it is relaxing and triggers extremists vegans

Can confirm playing online games w newborn around is borderline impossible, you will have to stop playing every few minutes.

If you can’t make sure that the game won’t be interrupted, then don’t start it from the every beginning. That’s basic online courtesy.

I will miss you Kamizombie, but loved ones and family are far more important than a game. I think your daughter has a great father, I’ll miss your contributions to the forums.

He said he was leaving in part due to this reason, as he doesn’t want to spoil the games of others. This is a completely unfair and unnecessary comment.

This going for anyone who post here (the entirety of the forum), this “”"“meme”"" is unfunny and annoying as much as Logan’s Tass memes being the same but different template.
