This short story, Operation Blind Devil, is an exposé about Broken Horn, the first, and likely last, sentient and intelligent Zergling.
This is my new favorite SC2 story, displacing Ascension from the #1 spot.
Fair warning, this story is not for the squeamish or faint of heart.
There is this joke that has been around since years ago in the Spanish language SC and HotS community about Zergio el Zerling. But our hopes and dreams were shattered when the Zerling mount was called Zergio. The good side is that Zergio is kinda cannon, the bad side is that he’s a mount.
I just finished reading the story and personally speaking my favorite is still the one that shows the first interaction between terran and banelings but this one is good. I found interesting that zerlings are too simple they can’t develop self-consciesness without external help unlike other zerg species, also, I wonder if some day terrans will interact with primal zerg, I believe primal zerg can cumunicate with terrans after eat enough terrans… now I realized Dehaka, Zagara and Abathur should not be able to interact with other heroes due to the limited psionic hability of most heroes.
Link? I’ve heard of it but never been able to find it.
There’s actually only a handful that can, those being Hydralisks and the various command-chain Zerg like Queens, Leviathans, and Overlords (Overlords actually come with self-awareness, they don’t have to develop it).
I’m pretty sure Dehaka can actually talk in human language, though I don’t think Abathur and Zagara can (though they can understand it).
