Specifically twin blade with second wind and it varies from there… with the triple quest for damage

I really love his parry and his lvl 13 talents.
So rewarding if you hear the clash and then see 1300 dmg blocked

Varian is good fun.
Wanna turn off your brain and a-click things? TB.
Wanna AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA? CS
Wanna point and click silence with a pseudo-root while having the third highest base hp in the game? Taunt.
Banner is a really unique 16 and adds some more utility to his pretty basic kit, and becomes a fighting centerpiece if you take Glory to the Alliance.
And I love how hard countering his 13s are. Even when you’re not TB the antiheal on Heroic Strike is great for shutting down some more notorious tanks and bruisers, it even combos with Overpower for that purpose. Shattering Throw just ruins a shield user’s day. The satisfaction I get from exploding a Johanna’s Iron Skin or even Indestructible is immeasurable.
I just wish CS was more viable. It really hurts to get interrupted mid smash and see it go on cooldown. You could always try to play around it by charging first but even then he’s just so squishy if you’re not immediately deleting people.
Still a fun flex on squishy divers like Tracer.
I love Varian as well, been quite some time since I played him
Trust me though if you can avoid it do yourself a favour and avoid going Taunt in Solo Queue,
If you take taunt in solo queue you will hate the experience 100% been there done that.
I love how his Demoralising Shout at level 20 also gives off a yell. Nice touch.
I have a soft spot for varian and kharazim. Love how one talent row dramatically changes how a character feels.

Yeah Varian as hero is a nice balanced and fun to play hero. I always love to pick him, when I see Artanis, which people in my elo tend to pick very often and after 13 he just dies. 
I also love warbringer to perma slow enemys down. It’s my 10 choice for almost every comp, because I value the low cd more than that protection shield.

He is fun, can play the map well.
His level 16 feels lackluster, though. At least for me. Ideally I should have uptime on the banners, but that’s the point where I usually start to get deleted. So if we don’t win by 16, I lose.
I like permanent 20 armor or damage buff for my backline or speed buff like lucio… I wouldn’t call it lackluster…
