Lol, wish it was as simple as upvoting a thread … fixing it requires having at least one person on HOTS team with above 100 IQ and clearly none of them qualify. Plus, I doubt it’s salvageable at this point, pretty much everybody on my friends list has given up and moved on and personally I am close to it even though I generally stick to games for a long time. I just played 10 HL qualifying matches and every single one ended with at least 3 lvl deficit on one of the teams. 2 of them were at 5. This isn’t just occasional screw up that’s expected, thats MM that has no clue what’s happening.

Our human race is unbelieveble…over 2 years want fix MM …cheeze…and im not surprised why both EU and US are half terrible player bases… yeeah…yeah…continue more 2,3 years… and Firesoup…go hide in any hole …

Match Making doesn’t need fixing. It does exactly what it was designed to do.

What needs fixing are players who don’t understand what match making really is. Good luck with that.

it would be cool if in every QM match there where at least one healer and one tank, if blizzard does that, the game experience would be a lot less frustrating some times, if QM queue times would be a concern then it should be a deactivatable option.
Also begging for likes with a subject like this is whrong!

MM’ing really isn’t ‘broken’. I’m not sure why people keep saying that.

Quick match is just that. Quick match. Everything else I play finishes with favored 10-20. Occasionally late night team league finishes with bigger variations.

I also get the frustrating nature of a game with 3 specialists an assassin and a healer or something in qm. But everyone forgets how bad it was to have a tass healing vs a rehgar. Or a sonya solo tanking vs muradin. Or no healer vs a healer.

Or the mirror matches.

Unfortunately in this game we got it a bit backwards. QM should have been a prep for HL but it didn’t really feel like that or work out that way. We brought unranked draft along but that only became a reprieve from HL instead of prep for HL like it should have been.

So it is a little backwards in that sense. We should have these set up from teh start as a qm, learn to play/learn a hero thing with somewhat decent teams. Then unranked to really learn team dynamics and comps, then HL where to apply them.

Is mm’ing perfect? No. No game’s mm’ing will be perfect. It isn’t terribad though. And it’s been improving and worked on constantly.

Isolated GM/Masters players. Tryed to introduce personal performance based mmr ranking. (They did but people ended up deranking. Doesn’t mean it wasn’t working but it looked bad + people were pissed).

I really hate the generalized ‘fix mm’ing’ thing though. Like cite some specific examples of why it has’t been working for you? Are the game’s favored or unfavored points 50 each time? Are you getting shafted on comps? What is it exactly?

Reality is this game is dynamic that quick match is almost a mode that will never be that good. You’ll always be contending with an s-tier of heroes that are dominant over the general hero pool. You’ll be dealing with heroes and maps that favor each other and give a giant advantage to one team or another. So MMR average aside, there is that factor that lends itself to putting one team in a stronger position over the other. Plus counters aren’t controlled for which also create massive issues. That’s just not hard counters but team comps that have better synergy like a Jo with an Azmo or something.

So, take qm for what it is. QM. IIf you’re talking about rank, I guess really look at what’s going on because mmr averages are just that and I’m sure the team isn’t that much favored.
