Tyrael is bruiser or tank?

Nope, the internet is for connecting with like minded individuals to serenade eachother in an echo chamber. Its also for storing all past versions of your mental state to be referenced at anytime, without context just in case we cant refute one another, we can always slander and misrepresent in the search for our own personal truths.

…and for more… adult entertainment

Very sure he was referring to drafting a team comp, not referring to QM’s rules.

The comments convinced me. Weird, right? :open_mouth: They made me realise he is a tank.

He can solo tank. So he’s not like Dehaka or D.va in that sense (who really should not be ever drafted as a solo tank, which they are not even classified as in the new system)

However, the amount of skill required to solo tank as him is too high to ever really trust a random teammate to pick him up and peel for your team, engage, shield everyone at the right times, create correct choke points with El’druin, use Sanctification at the exact right moment etc.

No question about it, he can solo tank in super high MMR games or even mediocre games if it’s a 5 premade.
But I will never trust a random Gold 4 person to solo tank Tyrael and it will most likely end up badly (and due to how Storm League works now, especially in smaller regions you can get anyone from Bronze 5 to GM#1 as your teammate)

It doesn’t really matter how you call it, i would even call him a support hero for the lulz. Tyrael is Tyrael. Just look at his abilities and what they do. There are different talents that influence how he is played a little bit.
What do you think are his strengths and what are his weaknesses? That should tell you how to use the hero and when he fits into a team.

Best way to play Tyrael is with a dive comp. Wich not a lot of people can play.
Just look at your team if they prepick a ming and a genji, tyrael is great as a main tank! But if you want to do something fun, santification + mosh is great (just dont pick holy ground)

If they pick a lot of squichys like nova hanzo tyrael is a great counter as a off tank

He can shoulder both roles depending of who is your second frontline melee.
Solo lane tyrael was/still is a thing.

I think he can function decently as either but I’d rather have someone with hard cc on my team.

He is a supportive tank with a bruiser-like build when it’s needed.
