Junkrat’s sticky wicket is very situationally useful against a team that has no mobility, but even so a root for 2 seconds will still be super useful against them.
It is about double the range of towers.
Which is about 400% the total area revealed.
And I’m pretty sure towers see farther than they shoot.
I find most people don’t understand how to “triangulate” the egg. I find it easy, but I’ve also got hundreds of games on murky, and have used Fish Eye over a few dozen games.
Most people who have not played murky a good chunk end up spending WAY longer then is required to kill the egg.
If people did ideally find and kill the egg I would agree it is very very bad.
You don’t take it for the stealth reveal?
That is an added bonus, especially if your team lacks ranged AOE abilities to knock enemy heroes out of stealth without being near melee range.
The big power is the ability to see over/through LoS blockers, and over walls.
It looks like over the nearly 400 games you have as Murky on hotslogs you have… A total of zero games with Fish Eye. Try it?
I tried Egg Shell for a painful 10 games, before deciding, yup. It is just as bad as it looks.
I luv Murkys vision.
On some maps, like Infernal Shrines, it makes your teammates impossible to gank. Its more about what it gives to your team. Better than crappy bribe which is completely useless if someone lanes against Murky properly.
I understand what you’re saying and can see the obvious situational benefits, but I just don’t see any way I could ever play it with the build I play and how aggressively I play him. Taking this talent would force me to place my egg in much more defensive positions all game.
I almost exclusively play a full slime build and place my egg in extremely advanced positions all game (after the initial early-game laning phase). Besides, I feel like I get waaaaay too much value (opportunity cost) out of bribing enemy camps just prior to/during objectives or at other critical times during the game.
400% vision sounds great, but if I’m placing it by my tower, it’s only an additional 100% increased vision in front of my tower because everything behind my towers is already lit up on most maps.
it’s also extremely good on BoE. Sure they are going to know where your egg is but due to how the map is layed out and how the objective is they aren’t going to be able to go out and kill it.
Vision is very stronk on that map during the objective so being able to reveal almost half of it is extremely strong.
There’s nothing crappy about bribe if you’re using it on the right camps at the right times.
Most people just use it ASAP and oftentimes on their own camps, both of which are a complete waste. Even if I’m sitting at 32 stacks (maxed out), I rarely use them unless it’s worth it strategically.
• Save bribes for camps on the enemies side of the map (usually, not always).
• If they’re good about getting their camps, watch the timers and be there right when it spawns before they realize it’s back up.
• Bribe the camps right before/as the objective pops.
• Bribe camps when the enemy is on the opposite side of the map.
• Bribe camps as a decoy when your team is starting a boss fight. (This is extremely useful and works like a charm more than you’d think, just don’t bribe a camp near the boss, bribe one far away).
• Etc, etc, etc
Thats irrelevant. Enemy has to let you get stacks first. I laugh every time someone here says “Murky is unfun to lane against”. Yeah, thats the only way to get stacks.
I might actually try it sometime on this map.
I assume you put it on your camp? The tiny curved alleys by the eternal spawn points seems very risky.
Getting stacks is easy. Yeah, they might be able to deny you early game during the laning phase depending on your match-up, but not after that.
You’re doing something wrong if you’re not easily getting stacks by mid-game.
Tassadar:
Kaydarin resonance (lvl 1)
Uther:
Divine Protection (lvl 20)
Guldan:
Rain of Distraction (lvl 10)
Mephisto: Shard of hate. Never seen a Mephisto take it
ETC: Echo Pedal. Never seen a ETC take that one either.
Garrosh: Body Check, Do i even need to mention this talent.
Oeh I like this game
Kharazim 16 Dash of light
Radiant Dashing to an ally increases the healing they receive from Breath of Heaven by 75% for 3 seconds.
(Echo of Heaven completely overshadows this talent)
D.va lvl 1
Crash Course
Quest: Damage enemy Heroes with Boosters.
Reward: After damaging 20 Heroes, each use of Boosters lowers its cooldown by 1 second per Hero hit.
Kael’theas
Convection
That mana cost is just too huge
Let’s see…
Whitemane’s Indulgence
Searing Lash’s first strike restores 20 Mana per Hero hit, and its second strike restores 40 Mana per Hero hit.
Since Searing Lash is every 6 seconds, you’ll be pressured if you’re dove on, because your mana will be exhausted if spammed on teammates and yourself, the mana it provides isn’t enough that Q spends.
Yrel’s Samaara’s Light
While above 50% Health, gain 15% Movement Speed.
Although it sounds good and almost near permanent 15% Movement Speed, it’s rather weak since Yrel can easily be taken down to 50% HP.
Maiev’s Vengeful Knives
For each enemy Hero Spirit of Vengeance hits, Maiev’s next Fan of Knives deals 1.5% maximum Health as bonus damage to enemy Heroes.
Since it’s tied to Maiev’s engage and disengage ability, you don’t really get that much value from them unless specifically E build, which isn’t that great.
Or you’re playing against someone who understands (I.e. plays murky a bit/lot).
Not in my experience.
Maybe you could try it, before claiming outcomes?
Why in the world is the egg ever right behind the tower?
On most maps you can place it towards the center of the map by the top/bottom tower regardless, which usually gives a large chunk of vision. Not the most useful early game (depends on maps) but it keeps on getting value if you play aggressively with egg positioning.
It’s counter is the enemy spending time trying to find your egg.
Counter to bribe is… making sure your camps are taken/watched (you should be doing this…) and landing/wave clear. Which you should have.
Of course the issue is bribe tends to be better the worse your (and the enemy team) is. Where Fish Eye requires your teammates utilizing the extra value you get in order to be worth it.
And depending on other people can be very hard.
A quick look at hotslogs does seem to show a fishy deal is a tad OP, relative to it’s competing talents. You would expect Bribe to get weaker as rank rises, and Fish eye to get stronger (counter acted in part (in full?) by better enemies) on average as allies get better at utilizing that vision.
Instead we see the (not fully accurate) data from the 23rd of December to now showing that Fish Eye has more power at lower levels of play. Based on a quick check.
Very interesting, moreso that bribe lengthened it’s Lead (again not fully accurate/etc) as rank goes up per hotslogs ranked tracking system.
really depends on the situation. sometimes it’s good to put it on the top bush near the bottom of the top lane
Well to be fair previously it wasn’t THAT easy to take her down below 50% during her lane phase when Maraad’s wasn’t changed to only happen when she hits an enemy hero, so it was very easy to sustain above 50% and bully people out of lane with this combination due to all her free healing (more so when her mana costs were lower).
Good that you mention malthael.
His level 20 Reaper of souls
But you gain more energy from the lvl 4 talent that gives energy per hit.
But you’re ignoring the synergy of the bigger radius making it a lot easier to get (and chain) the cd reductions, as well as getting you more value from the extra grenades.
Just because you don’t know how to use Grenades doesn’t mean the talent is useless.
Also one might want to como the level 1 talent with the damage reduction or the shield damage. There are after all three grenade talents on that level.
When compared to Life Support or Caduceus Feedback you’re losing out on energy generation until you get the quest completed because like i said before Second Opinion negates the first reward from Clear! so the only way that you’re going to be getting more energy is from the increased radius. And even then there is only so many times that you can knock people away, and if you’re only energy generation is just “get off me” than you’re losing out from just pressing W or auto attacking people.
it also makes it easier to mess up the skillshots of your allies. And if you’re constantly needing to spam it than your skillshot heroes are going to hate you.
