The issue is that it must be fault of the hero, there is no way OP is playing bad against Alarak. Admiting own fault? That would be insane. Also, Abathur relies a lot in the team.

alarak is a problem? noo…the problem is Cassia, alarak might be a good hero with a higher skillcap, but cassia is a BUG, she is literally a bug. Plus, Alarak’s pick rate is not high enough to give him significant changes, theres much better choices for dps unless you face an alarak one trick

That’s about 2-3% below average in Masters, where the average winrate is currently around 55-56%.

Well his combo is rather easy compared to a kerrigan

It is harder to dodge, but it is easier to miss. Kerrigan’s combo is easier to cast properly, but much more telegraphed. Alarak’s combo is trickier to cast, but it is not nearly as telegraphed.

In master last 3 patches Alarak has:
51.28% win rate which is in bottom 30…
6.56% pick rate which is in which is again in bottom 30…
2.71% ban rate… which is what you say as common first ban…? Almost every game first bans are shared among Cassia, Mei and Tass. Last ban goes to either Ana or another tank from ETC, Jo and Gary.

This character doesn’t just need nerfs. He needs a serious rework where he has clear weaknesses, just like any other character in this game. Personally I’d love to see him removed or get severely weakened.

He already has clear weaknesses. His combo is strong but without telekinesis it’s not really possible to consistently land his discord strike. He’s remarkably balanced with a number of build options. Can he be frustrating to play against? Of course but he’s not particularly OP. His power level rises with skill input and that’s how it should be.

People forgetting alarak has less stats than before because everyone plays the 0 effort cassia and tassadar.
The moment both of them finally get real nerfs he would come back into flavor i think.
Also always refreshing balancing comes into the abyss when the favorite range hero is targetted.
Isn’t imperius close to 50%-51% winrate and everyone wants him gone?
What’s to say alarak isn’t the same kind of hero?
Anyone with a bit of decency knows he is overtuned.

Compare him to Kerrigan. Another combo assasin. He does more damage, has instant damage without wind up time, has an easier to land combo, longer CC, shorter cooldowns, has an escape, has an unstoppable, can combo from an extremely safe distance, has healing AND gets stronger with every kill. What does Kerrigan do better? Waveclear?

I can’t take you seriously when you’re comparing Alarak to Kerrigan who’s a very lack-luster Melee Assassin. She shouldn’t be your standard. Melee Assassins are meant to be played more skillfully compared to Ranged Assassins and Alarak, like many other Melee Assassins, shows this in his kit. Also If you think his combo is so no-skill then why don’t you play him?

This was exactly what the Dev team intended for him to be, a hero who is unpredictable and dangerous that screams “watch out or else”. His hero spotlight even highlights his strength as being unpredictable.

I like how people like to go to extreme lengths with something they don’t necessarily like. "This hero is OP so he/she/it/they need a rework because I don’t think his design is good/fit for MOBA/[insert other generic excuses here]. On top of that, removing a character is never a good idea, both from the fact that someone else must like that hero and the fact that people rarely take “remove this hero” rants very seriously.

There is nothing high skill about him. Clicking a w button remotely near an enemy and pressing your Q is not hard. Kerrigan is a much harder hero that gets way less reward.

Dude, you clearly havne’t even attempted to play Alarak in active play agaisnt non ai opponents if you think his combo is anything but easy
I have I’ve got a 7 Alarak I can confidently say I still get my butt whooped when I play him,

By the way, ask Gishki I think He’s got a list of ways to counter Alarak, maybe not a List of “Alarak’s Unholy” LIke I do for Qhira but still someone will be able to tell you how to hard counter him.

The truth is, his macro is really terrible. If I’d compare him to Kerrigan in master, he would deal on average 24% more hero dmg, but Kerrigan would deal 50% more siege dmg and gain 29% more experience. As a relative result, she sits at a 59% win rate.

Good point, that’s why it looks fine to me, if he’s a bit “overtuned” in his combat power level, because he basically is only good to combat heroes. He’s like a better nova version in general, because she’s also good at combat lonely heroes, while her teamfight and push ability is just bad. Imperius is maybe another example.

Edit: And yeah I know my comparision is a bit weird, but I compared them in general, because their strength is more likely 1v1, but totally different.
