hope to see you around here as a community member AJ but if not happy trails, you did good work and Blizz is lucky to have you
No, looking at the state of the game, it’s pretty clear not even the devs play it.
Honestly, Good thing, perhaps this is what is best for both yourself and the game, getting some fresh blood to lead the charge while keeping the initial vision for the game at it’s heart. HotS has been getting stale recently and a new dev is probably a good idea to inject some freshness into the game.
At least stay a forumer under a non blue account so we can keep talking about this amazing game
I remember a member mentioning they’ve seen him in one of their matches recently. So you might see him in the nexus, he does play the game on occasion.
I will not using this thread for this.
Now back to ignoring you.
Thank you and have a good one.
Care to hint us on what your next project will be? (Sorry if it was already asked)
He still works at Blizzard, so he’ll still be a blue.
Yeah because all your suggested simping for the dev team has gotten this game into such a wonderful state already, with HGC being abandoned and high profile developers dropping like flies. You do catch more flies with honey but sometimes the vinegar is the only thing that gets people’s attention. As it obviously has on this thread, given the likes OrangeJuice’s comment got.
He didn’t say any of that. He didn’t even imply it. You are putting words in his mouth and painting him to be a villain just because you didn’t like the way he worded his very accurate comment.
And thus nothing will be done if all you hear is positivity
Thank you for your dedication and hard work on Heroes of the Storm, AZJackson. Good luck on your other Blizzard projects. You were always honest and fair to the community. We’ll miss you.
I love this game and I know it will continue to thrive for greatness for many years, and decades, to come. I can’t wait for virtual BlizzCon! What’s next for Heroes of the Storm? We’re so due for a fun event. Any event would be nice!
You can give criticism without being rude or sarcastic. I know it’s a foreign concept on the internet, but it can be done.
Before Blizcon, which was supposed to show how the game will develop further, we see how the developers leave, telling us that they need to develop further, move on to another project. I wonder if there is a future for the Hots.
So does that mean AZmo is still working with Blizzard right?
Ok let me phrase it differently: you have no power to force him to do anything. You taking him accountable means nothing. All you can do is basically spread negativity and a deleterious atmosphere on this thread. According to you, it won’t even bother him has (still according to you) he won’t even read or reply.
You have no power to hold anyone account for his past mistakes here. When you’re a cop, or a judge, you will have power to enforce law on some people. When you’re his boss, you will be able to hold him account for whatever he did wrong according to you.
For now, he’s producing a game, and you’re paying for it. You may not pay in money, but you’re paying in time playing you could use for something else, that may be more productive.
He’s the one in power here.
He could feel like banning you and all you would be able to do would be complain, and orally, because you wouldn’t even be able to post.
There is no law that forces him to reply to you. So all you have that allow you to hold him account for what he did are your personal feeling. Basically, that is nothing.
Now what I’m getting at is:
- He has the power, not you.
- If you want him to do something for you, you’d better ask. Because once again, you’re not the one who decides anything here.
- If you don’t believe he will read your message, it serves no purpose except having people reply to you to tell you you’re wrong, which will now not happen again from my part.
Also, you don’t seem to realize that holding people accountable is only any worth when they can repair the damage they have done, and when it is big enough. So, when you can pay (with money) to repair, the low makes you do it. When you cannot, you are punished, either as an example, or to take you away from society where you’re obviously unhealthy to keep (that’s what prison is for), or even in some countries or cases.
What are his crimes? He made your little heart feel sad.
Does he have a way to repair the damage that he did? I don’t think so.
What punishment can you enforce on him? None.
And that is what I mean by “it’s useless to blame someone for something he cannot do anything about”. Not that he shouldn’t be taken accountable for past mistakes.
Just that you can’t do anything about it, and neither can he, so try at least to get something positive. Instead of being rude and insulting.
Does he make the game for himself, not for the players?
My condolences for your childhood then
Good grief. Person is referring to having a mature and constructive attitude toward the game.
Agreed. Someones going and to me its really sad that people want to criticize on this post.
If they want to discuss his performance make another post titled so.
Anyway have fun with you new job AZ
whoosh
You can’t expect everyone to have a constructive feedback on the game. Just look at the so called “criticism” by OrangeJuice. Tooton is also known to go on ridiculous anti-hive rants and a very obnoxious elitist approach when it comes to game design.
Also I would hardly call ranting (quite rudely if I may add) on a farewell thread about game balance is mature.
