honestly, ive taken it alot. people like to dive syl and its a pretty long stun thats hard to miss point blank :slight_smile:

Just a heads up, and I agree with most of your sentiments…but she can still take a merc camp alone with mercenary queen at 4. That’s along with her trait if you activate it, which lasts 10 seconds and can be stacked. So, just a heads up there.

Otherwise, yes, her Q is pretty annoying now because of the CD mainly…before it was targeting one at a time, and it still is now, but the CD not affected by minion deaths just makes it seem slower, because it is…

Her W is annoying as well, having to basic attack the target for it to spread, because she’s so squishy, it’s hard for her to stay in the fight and basic attack before being melted down.

E hasn’t changed much, besides not applying trait as before. It can apply however if you activate the trait.

I was always a mind control Sylvanas and this new MC I do not like. I get increasing the skill ceiling, but it really doesn’t do much if you manage to land the shot. The enemy is slowed, 1.75 seconds and towards you…okay that’s fine but they barely move at all. It’s basically just a stun with a silence. I do like the 20 upgrade for this, I can spam every 20 seconds…but the heroic ability should be that low from the beginning because it’s just not very good. Before the trade off was not being able to move, but it worked out fine. I would secure a kill <95% of the time with it.

Overall, it’s just meh…I probably won’t be maining her anymore which is a disappointment.

Blizzard has killed Sylvanas as a solo player, she can’t take the stronger merc camps and can’t put towers, keeps and one merc and boss (samuri) to sleep anymore forcing her to play in a group. More than likely from all the complaining whinners that sylavanas is not a team player.

So … plp getting used to Sylva new kit and …
Beeing a team player … it become difficult or impossibble to stack. You need to get close. You get melted. Even small cc is problem.
Beeing a PVE player … and specialist … is … meh. I stopped doing camps. I can with proper kit clear lane, but just minions. 10 disable usualy gets some1 killed. Lane presure close to zero. Sylv is not assassin, and not spec. Regardless which role you play, it will suck.
Mine favourite part with Sylva was distraction, forcesplit enemy team to chase her on lane. Dat was unique. And it is gone. You go lane, you do no good, you rather help team … and you still suck! Thank you blizz.

Because she can’t take 1 merc camp out of the entire game and buff it? That seems like stupid reasoning. I can’t Hired goons or buff it with TLVs merc lord anymore either, does that make them bad?

Actually you just need to deal any other form of damage for it to spread, a haunting wave, withering fire, ults, anything.

Old mindcontrol self rooted you and you couldn’t do anything to the target in question. Do you not know how powerful a 1.75 second stun that forces the enemy to move towards you is on an assassin? That’s nuts!

Yes, but before you were guaranteed the target, now it’s a skill shot. The effect lasted longer before (therefore silence was longer) and you could manipulate then any which way you wanted, now they must go towards you.

Before, I would be able to gaurantee a kill <95% of the time, now it’s less than 50.

Still, you can now deal damage during it, it’s a 1.75 second stun, does not always require your team to always follow it up, it’s not unfun to get hit by, you can still dodge projectiles while it’s channeled and you can fire it into fog of war.

Oh and the cooldown is slightly shorter.

Overall it’s a great balance change for the ult, most players agree that it’s good.

A point and click silence and move you to a badspot from 9 range away is not fun.
If you want to contest that it was able to be counterplayed and isn’t the most oppressive ult in the game to get hit by, then do so instead of attacking me.

I don’t really have to argue it. It is fact that it was neither oppressive, nor un-counterable.

People just like to throw the word “unfun” around like it means anything. Yes, anything that can kill you, or save an enemy that you were about to kill is “unfun.” Mauradin’s stun is unfun, cleanse is unfun, Illidan’s dash is unfun… If you remove everything that is unfun, then you wouldn’t have a game.

Genji is counterable, but he isn’t fun to fight.

Alright, can you really tell me that getting silenced at 9 range and being forced to move into the enemy team and not having a way of dodging and praying to god your support has a cleanse for you is fun?

If you can define to me, what is unfun and what is fun, then by all means do so. But if that’s your only excuse then I can just point out it wasn’t viable 80% of the time over wailing arrow.

terrible. The lack of effectiveness of w compared to before is so disappointing and the new dynamic seems to make her more vulnerable to me. they have completely ducked up the point of her character in my opinion. It’s sh**

The real problem is she’s too squishy for what she does.

Her kit is fine. Her dmg is fine. The reworked talent trees are pretty damn balanced–there’s multiple good talent picks in virtually every Tier, depending on the situation.

She just has Mage squishiness without Mage Burst and a semi-short range which means she gets out-ranged by Hanzo, Chromie, Hammer (and can’t really contest them)–and has to go toe to toe with Raynor and Zuljin. This leaves her too inbetween to be a good pick vs the alternatives.

Her wave clear is also too slow, which is weird considering her kit. A handful of Assassins waveclear much faster (Rag, Malth, Guldan, Fenix, Greymane, KT to name a few) which make them a better choice because they double soak easier and can participate in team fights more readily.

Her overall siege dmg is surprisingly low. This was the big shocker.

I like what they’ve done with her and her playstyle. She’s just too inbetween to pick her over another toon that brings more to specific gameplay.

I find it insanely annoying how the spreading of W works. Especially the quest. It gained a slight hard factor, but it got a huge nuisance factor

Ehh, maybe I just need to get used to it. I preferred the other way, most of the team knew to follow up. It was all about timing it correctly; a good Sylvanas knew when to trigger the ult. Now, you just blindly shoot it whenever. It actually requires less skill in that sense - but it makes it up for being a skill shot.

Less of this and more of an intelligence check on the enemy. If you land this it doesn’t say anything about your skill it says everything about your opponents lack of it. Unless you’re using it in a chain of cc in which case the positive of not having to rely on teammates is moot.

my biggest problem with this update is this: NOT EVERY CHAMP NEEDS TO BE A DUELING/TEAM FIGHTING HERO!

Sylvanas’ greatest value was that she could be a sieging, split pushing god! Her value in team fights were her ults that brought utility to help out, but in no way do I want her to be an assassin who’s winning the fights and carrying the team.

She should help the team by being another point of pressure on the map, the way a good Abathur can be.

The ultimate winning condition is to take down the obj/nexus, killing heroes is not the goal. This isn’t Halo 5 slayer mode.

I will concede that her trait to disable the structures and mercs/camps could be OP at times, but this new change is a complete 180 nerf. It’s absolutely garbage now.

All in all, stop trying to make Sylvanas an assassin. I want her to be the sieging, split pushing specialist that she was in the last iteration prior to this rework.

EDIT: What’s also funny is this rework roughly coincided with the new WoW expansion which features Sylvanas as a/the central figure. She’s badass in WoW, but a complete dud in HoTS :rofl: :joy: :laughing:
