I agree. The odd smurf isn’t fun when it throws out the balance but is still achievable and sometimes it great to work your skills but if you get 2+ working together on the opposite team and your not in a stack/working together it feels beyond hopeless (Yes sad and pathetic to make people feel that way IMO).
I’ve stopped climing ranked.
Its comfortable to play 1 or 2 game for daily quest.
If enemies coordinate good enough to overplay my TLV and win (or at least make me tryhard/angry) - it shows they play good for their rank.
My TLV are Diamond-low Master tier after all.
I was replying to the original thread but yes a good TLV is tough to play against.
I’m not Goku. I’m not going to magically get better from seeing better players destroy me. If this was a 1 v 1 game you might have a point
I kinda look up to people like Fan who, despite SL’s impurities, manage to climb very consistently no matter what rank they currently are. But at the same time, I don’t like it when people like fan make new bronze accounts and tear through others that are trying to climb. The answer is a bit more complicated than just being completely and unequivocally against smurfing. I’m surely against the unfairness, I don’t believe people’s argument of “the more challenging the better”. To everyone who does that, you don’t have to support smurfing to maintain this point. Challenges come in all shapes and sizes, you don’t need smurfs to get one.
You’re playing against someone you trust and enjoy your time with. This is different. People don’t share the same sentimentalities with their stranger allies, in SL they come to win, the learning comes secondary but is obviously important. You know your uncle is winning against you not because he enjoys crushing you.
Well… I played againt smurfs and I beated them, does it mean I am Goku? ![]()
If I see TLV on the enemy team, I tend to pick good makro heroes like Ragnaros. ![]()
Good choice.
Solo smurfing is regretful, but the negative impact is small. Full teams Plat and above playing against far less skilled solo queue opponents, well I’ll just call it reprehensible as anything else would be censored.
A special shout out to those who do this in QM and Ranked who then vote for each other on the MVP screen, that’s cringe!
Just had solo game in Plat as TLV. And what I can say - enemies were playing like masters, that’s for sure!
I had to change my standard build and micro Erik really hard to help my team or deal with split-push.
People weren’t toxic, didn’t B-step. I start to enjoy plat people.
First, I’m against smurfing and I think it’s baseless to say “you all defend regular smurfing”.
Second, if it’s your main acc, it’s not smurfing. There for, for example, @Shadowmere is not smurfing.
-
How do you know they are smurfing?
 -
Just play the game and use the opportunity to play against superior players as a learning experience. You’ll only become a better player yourself.

It’s just as obnoxious when the damn smurf 3 stack is on my team and I might as well just not be there it sucks they’re usually condedesending jerks so good luck getting anything productive out of them and just feeling like you’re just along for the ride is almost as bad as when that rid is you getting smashed
Harb isn’t in High Silver Low Gold despite having pabsolutely flawless stutter stepping and a plethera of other things you don’t see consistently until High Plat at least last I checked.
I’ve played in. 5 stacks that averaged out in high plat, I can tell the difference in the flawlessness of Stutter stepping, perfect camp timing, perfect combo’s even on difficult heroes you never see in Gold stuff like that
Everyone using this god damn defence can shove it where the rogues do it you’re not going to magically get better by having the miserable experience of getting smashed by someone that much tougher then you it’s not how it works
So SHOVE IT!
As is written in the book of Eli, one should only stutterstep after they beaten a Genji Hanzo Illidan or Aba
Most likely that’s just your insecurities assuming that “well they must be smurfing because I’m not this bad”.
Dude, if you played any sports growing up as a kid this was HOW YOU LEARNED HOW TO PLAY. You would be put into scrimmages with the older more experienced players. It’s how you learn to push yourself to be a better player.
Even in professional sports, teams with bad records still are required to play against the better teams. It’s how competition works.
if you aren’t pushing yourself to play with better players it’s probably why you don’t ever advance.

I get where you’re coming from and I even gave you a like. It’s probably not the best form though to call out people by name. The smurfing issue is more nuanced than “it’s bad”, many people who smurf will tell you they don’t like it.
Some Smurf as they can’t group with lower ranked friends, this is more on the system we have now, where we really should have solo queue ranked and Team League, but the game lacks the population to support it.
Other people technically smurf when they switch regions, but I wouldn’t classify this as smurfing. Blizzard could solve this so you could move your account to different servers without having to do this.
I only hate smurfs that think they pro that they can beat players below thier skill lvl and think 90% winrate in qm is pro.
Then when he tries to climb in SL he need a full premade full of diamond/master smurfs just to get free master when he skill wise belong in gold.
I think this picture will make Melke sad.

Still, even being master, I can’t really carry people if they don’t want to play right.
One example is a guy, who first inta locks 4 lvl Mephisto with negative winrate and other guy tell he throwed a game by feeding… Yes, we lost that game.
And the second game, where Ming went the most stupid build vs that comp. Gladly our 4 men carried her.

Our core was at 23%+ or something.
[SO… YOU ALL DEFEND REGUALR SMURFING]
Wait, who’s this all ?
Was he toxic since you had to block him ?
