So since HGC is gone, time to balance appropriately

It’S not like Blizzard banned people from making tournaments. If they start balancing all heroes around QM, they’ll have to re-balance everything again later.

Fenix was overly busted on release with a stupidly good escape with a shorter range and cool down and was advertised as heavily countered by Tracer (the best part people complained that it gets countered by Tracer when the spotlight released on the forums lol) except he did the complete opposite for her, sure she can dodge the laser but Fenix can still cast it exactly where she’s standing, it’s like Guldans corruption for the first circle of the 3, undodgeable slow on the first laser can be serious for her, because mobile heroes never like slow/root effects.

I think he’s in a better place, but I still have my salt against him… just seeing him, standing still… not moving… :slightly_smiling_face::dagger: auto attacking me to death… then escape and restore his shields as nothing happened :sunglasses::gun:

No no I get that, I just can’t understand the hate for Fenix nowadays…it always felt like people were just complaining about Fenix for the hell of it.

One thing I’d like to see done for Tracer…if they ever rework her without AA while moving bs, is that they need to change how Locked & Loaded works while making it still take skill. It is still bugged and can send Tracer into an eternal reload cycle and how it functions also is basically as a quicktime event…I HATE having those in games, they filled the Resident Evil games with that crap.

Ermm, fail to see the point tbh of:

How exactly (in what ways) would buffing/reworking those 3 heroes save the game from this current (seemingly-innevitable ?) decline that we face/experience ATM… ?

Making Kerrigan a good feared hero would simply make ME and other Kerrigan players feel happy to be honest. :yum:

I think the most complains on Fenix are because he has regenerative shields and no mana. Especially in lanes, if you don’t kill him he can just walk away and in few seconds he is back with full shields. Because of lack of mana he doesn’t have to retreat. He can solo lane pretty much indefinitely.

If it comes to Tracer I think attack while moving isn’t OP, 3 Blinks at lvl 1 are OK, Recall is OK, having no mana is also OK and heroic at lvl 1 is also good. But, the problem is that Traces has everything! If they want to properly balance her something has to go and remove attack while moving is the easiest way.

All the rest of that is fine, it is simply basic attacks while moving that is the problem. Again, there is a reason this isn’t in other MOBAs.

Her wave clear is pretty sad unless you get bullet spray, but ever since the w nerfs this talent isn’t picked as it used to be, now it’s either leeching rounds or ricochet rounds.

Keep in mind she get some sort og wave clear at level 13, not level 1 like many do, but why go for that talent when you can go to much better team fighting options?

I’d argue Leeching Rounds is the worst choice unless you go Untouchable and Locked & Loaded and at that point might as well draft a different ranged assassin as you mostly draft Tracer for bombs and chase/finishing. Basically Tracer and Genji are drafted for the same reasons which I think should be remedied in both their designs as even assuming they were both reworked and made balanced Tracer would still have to compete against Genji for her role.

I’d say between Ricochet and Bullet Spray it depends on what the enemy team drafted overall moreso than how much waveclear your team has, and generally you should have more than what Tracer can provide in that regard of course.

Trying to include waveclear in every hero’s design was a problem with later hero design…maybe it was a result of heavy favoring toward drafting waveclear capable heroes. Genji seemed to be the one exception to this.

Genji has wave clear, except he achieves that so late in which he would probably go for all the talents that are not waveclear on Q.

Leeching rounds has its place, well probably more in QM environment full assassins because sustain is important for her, Richochet is RNG but it’s solid talent during team fights as you can focus two heroes at once and poke people by focusing a minion since it automatically prioritize a hero, giving you a safe distance between you and them, also with heroes like Tassadar you can double the heal per bullet with a 50% chance.

Bullet Spray doesn’t see reliable source in team fights, I think Tracer is really built around that more than solo lane or minion clearing, hence why I find bullet spray a pretty unreliable option most of the time, especially in team fights this talent sees little to no power because you NEED the enemy to be so close to each other to see it being effective unless you go for “get stuffed” and blew them up with no reaction time, but dive build is so dead.

Get Stuffed has its place don’t get me wrong, I get it to secure kills on heroes who have ways to counter Pulse bomb when mandatory, but I no longer combo it with Bullet Spray as it used to previously before the nerfs.

You can’t buff heroes with high skillcaps like genji and tracer because there are players who can actually play them to full potential and these players would roflstomp everyone on an absolutely OP hero otherwise.

Sorry but the game cannot cater to people who don’t know how to play.

If it did, lili would be first to get heavy nerfs since she is a braindead hero with a high winrate but unfortunately the game isn’t balanced around bronze 10 players

You most certainly can buff them around master and grandmaster players…once certain mechanics are changed…they only roflstomp when they have poorly designed mechanics and/or balancing.

Hanzo just needs his trait to be looked at. The rest of his kit is fine for the most part.

and what problem would that be?

Asking for deletions, I thought it was too obvious.

I don’t have any specific notes on who I want buffed or nerfed, but I would love to play a moba, just one time, that is balanced for the vast multitude of people who actually play it, instead of the 90 people who compete professionally on the internet version of cable access television.

They don’t make 9 year olds play football by the official rules of the NFL. The pick up game at the basketball courts in the park doesn’t function on NBA standards. They say they want video games and esports to be real sports, but real sports adapt to their players and tailor the experience to their various skill and ability levels.

deleting them would be “balance appropriately”

Thats still no reason to balance around bronze theres still master and gm

Do people who enjoy playing OW characters in Hots play OW at all?

Yes, I main Tracer in both games, thank you for the question.

Nah, its an unprofessional option made to cater to whiners who cannot comprehend the idea of reworks or redesign a character.
