Showing names is not ok

It s not a easy win because if you ban all of his mains you are gonna miss on the other important bans.So its more of a easy loss

 you troll?
looks like one.

But seriously…

strategy

[ strat-i-jee ]

noun, plural strat·e·gies.

a plan, method, or series of maneuvers or stratagems for obtaining a specific goal or result: a strategy for getting ahead in the world.

No idea where you get that it’s an easy win. Maybe in your silver or gold or what ever league you play when they ban all the one trick ponies.

And Yes, I call it a strategy. I gave you a definition above.
if your goal is to win, you use all the possible things you have access to to achieve that goal.
If you aren’t serious, you are a casual, stay out of league and play QM or UR.
Nothing bad on that.
If you take it seriously, then you better stop talking, because you make no sense.

Cheap strat but effective to win. It’s on both sides of the coin. One on banning mains, the other expecting you to play your main, and both are pretty annoying when you want to play your hero or play something else.
It’s one of the reasons I started flexing :muscle: . I hear that you’re not the only one on this agenda though.

Are you saying you’re only good/competent on 3 heroes?

Imagine what we’ll get in real life :
“Referee!!! He doesn’t let me go for takedowns. Waaaaaaaaaah!!!”
“Referee they block all passes to me !!!”
" Refereeeeeeeeeeee i am confortable with punches and he kicks me!!!"
“Roar!!! I could eviscerate all of those puny humans with my claws and fangs but they shotgun me!!!”

My buddy and I have built a notorious reputation in mid to high diamond as a nasty chogall. We have around 85% win rate and there are games where we are literally first banned before ANY picks go out lol

drafts are based both on map, player strength AND counters.

There’s a pro Hanzo player who has like a ~75% winrate but doesn’t get to play him often because opposing teams almost always ban Hanzo when they see him. Unless you think you’re a better player than Pro Players, this is a hilariously dumb statement.

Yea? Drafting specifically to counter player strength is just as valid as bushing someone or organizing a perfect gank. you’re playing a COMPETITIVE game, which means you are trying to win.

are you just trolling? there is no such thing as “tryharding” in ranked. your goal is to win, period. I’m starting to wonder if maybe you aren’t actually a Master player but some dude who got their account boosted or got carried to Master League which is why you apparently lose the instant someone bans your mains.

Based on what? pro games do NOT go this way. you know who you’re facing beforehand and the people who do the best are often the ones who do the most research and practice countering the people they will play against.

hey so, fun fact: YOU don’t get to even attempt this argument when you’re having a meltdown because people ban your mains. you’re literally arguing that people banning your mains and forcing you to actually play OTHER heroes is both unfair and unfun and now trying to say THEY are the ones who are babies lmao.

Except your attitude seems to be “MAN I HOPE I DON’T PLAY AGAINST A TEAM THAT BANS MY MAINS OR ELSE I’LL LOSE AND COMPLAIN ABOUT IT ON THE HOTS FORUMS!” LMAOOOOO.

can you taste the irony in talking about other people being scared of playing against specific heroes and players when you are having a literal nuclear meltdown because people are target banning your mains, forcing you to actually LEARN how to play HOTS correctly?

Did you not know they can only ban 3 heroes, and only once can they ban 2 heroes then you can pick a hero, it sounds like you are a 1 Trick, because you have a limited MAIN pool. Time to get GUD, K…

Get gud before replying please.

This player is pretty good, and pretty fun to have as an ally. From this player’s rank it’s decently higher than most ranks I’ve seen on forums. I’m pretty sure this player knows a good fair amount, and enough to figure out how to deal with this sooner rather than later by the looks of it.

There are exactly three enemy bans in draft. Two of them come at the very start, before the enemy team can even pick something. So the only information you have is the map and (once in a blue moon) a prepicked composition from your team. The strategic aspect of those two bans is almost nonexistent, because of your lack of information at that point. If you take away further information like the enemy player names, these bans will completly devolve into dumb meta-bans.

No. Thats not how competition works.

I realize you want to go further than Master’s rank with only your 3 available tools but maybe there is a point to take away from this?

What WOULD happen to other Master level players? Are they all one tricks? They can’t be… maybe at some point there’s the people who play whatever and the people who one trick? And then maybe at that fork in the road the people who don’t put all their eggs in 1-3 baskets SHOULD rise above the people who relied on the one trick crutch?

Something to think about.

FYI, playing other heroes is really fun! It’s part of what makes a moba a moba. You should give it a try sometime.

I read this with Li Ming’s voice and it sounded even better. I agree

People so scared about one player using his best character(s) are the ones that need to get better. Most of the ‘‘git gud’’ condescending people here should look in the mirror.
Calling that ‘‘strategy’’ because they are scared of him. What a wimp way to win… :scream:

it sounds more like OP just starts losing the second someone bans his mains which is indicative of his own play/skill level, not anyone else’s. also you are making the assumption that people are banning out of fear and NOT out of tactical advantage.

based on???

banning heroes someone is good at is a legitimate tactic people use in these types of games all the time, even in high end pro games. However in OP’s case, it sounds like he falls apart without having access to his mains which is less about how good he is and more about how he handles changes to his normal playstyle. Also you’re making a huge assumption that people are scared just because they made a tactical decision.

The difference is that they’re winning and you aren’t. In competitive games, winning is what matters. You can rationalize that you played “honorably” and lost by refusing to take tactical advantages but you still lost.

He loses he is the loser.
Life since it appeared.
Who cares how it happened?

Nothing you said change anything to what i’ve said. I simply used your own rhetoric about the ‘‘git gud’’ mentality.

He never said that. You made the assumption.

Totally. You can call it tactic if you want, that is only disguised fear of being countered.

You are not even aware of how condescending you people are ; Just watch how you assume someone to have low skills and think you are so good compared to them while in fact, you ban someone’s best heroes you’re scared to fight hiding behind tactical excuse, even when they are low tier.

This is not my post, i don’t mind if people ban my characters. I’m just tired of toxic ‘‘git gut’’ behavior. Especially yours that did not even read 2% of the thread and assume op is bad.

If i play Mortal Kombat with a friend and crush a chair on his face, then kill his character in the game, yes i have won, but that does not make me good at the game. Therefore, i’m sure you people would still call it tactic. xD

In fairness, Sylvanas and Jaina are spicy bans. Jaina doesn’t have to be ahead to rip out shredder damage in an area, and frost elemental is a lot like rocket ride in that it is a very safe pick that will adapt to most situations.

uhh… no. I didn’t.

OP, whether he realizes or not, is implying that when people purposefully ban his mains, he loses. that is why he refers to them as free wins.

Prove it. you can’t. in fact you can’t even find evidence for this because none exists.

Not once have I said “THESE PLAYERS ARE SO BAD UNLIKE ME, ULTRA GRANDMASTER PRO STOMPER SUPREME!” or anything of the sort. However when someone allegedly plays in Master League yet rages because enemy teams get “easy wins” off of banning their mains, I start to question things. Especially since people who just barely scrape it into Master League often have a horrifying experience when they realize One Tricking or just playing the same 3 heroes over and over won’t consistently win them games anymore.

no, I read the thread and OP’s responses. he continues to portray himself as someone who finds legitimate competitive strategy as “unfun” and akin to winning in a “cheap” fashion. I don’t necessarily think he’s a bad player. However his struggles do show that he has to do a lot of practice to actually stay in Master League.

Banning heroes someone is good with is a game mechanic. A Pitcher throwing a curveball because they know the person batting is terrible at hitting curveballs is just using the mechanics of Baseball. Physical assault is literally a crime and also has nothing to do with game mechanics.
