Well for my part, I apologize as one of those who “saturate” the front page with junk apparently. If you think it’s best for me to abandon my threads for the good of the forums, I will do so. I enjoy the community aspect of the forums as much as the informative, so I’ll probably stop posting completely and quit the forums.
You do have a point that many threads are simply complaints or low effort, but this has not always been so, you yourself have made many valuable threads, that the blues never engaged with. There are still valuable threads made here for example:
When the forums were launched here in 2018 there were plenty of high effort posts that never attracted Blue engagement. While I accept your point that post quality has dwindled in recent times, this was not always the case, there was always little Dev attention for the forums.
As a small defense (as I think it’s warranted) for the “fun” community Mega threads, not every post needs to be serious and these threads create a sense of community. I would also note that the more fluffy/trivial posts were always more likely to attract a blue post engagement in the past over more substantive posts.
If we’re going to assign blame, let’s at least be fair and honest about it. It should also be noted the Reddit is hardly free from “low effort” posts.
