I think it’s not necessarily binary like that.
My last SL a few days ago, we had a pretty unfortunate draft, not objectively bad but I didn’t have a single standard option. So we ended up four ranged and Aba. We all handled it quite well, and albeit lost in the end, it was fun.
The versatility of compositions in QM allows players to adapt. Long story short, due to experience on your main you’re more likely to handle challenging scenarios. As a drafted assassin you’d probably expect peels, but in QM you might not have any. On my mains, I have the answer. (Simmetricity is another thing.) Hoku says the same thing about Artanis. On other characters, well, I need the help to function.
