As I mention in a previous post. QM is all we have in AUS. It’s basically wait minimum of 10 minutes to go into a rainbow draft mode SL, where you can get matched against for former HGC players as a Gold/Silver/Bronze (Which is what you were saying about balance).
Back when they had those 2 weeks of guaranteed healer/tank comp. It was great IMO. I didn’t notice much of a difference in queue times and was enjoying my matches.
Now I understand what your saying and agree, you can’t perfectly balance. And trading off a “better” comp might mean an MMR mismatch etc. The trouble I find either way is it’s not a very good place to practice new heroes with. For example I am trying to learn Malth and in the last 10 matches there has only be 1 game where I am not the only front line.
I just don’t think that QM is in a good place right now and am quite happy to have a civilized discussion on the matter. It said that it is the most popular mode but IMO a tick box for balanced guaranteed healer/tank comp would give people the choice between longer queues and better comps (Yes I know it will still increase for people who don’t select the option)
