Plz remove warhead from qm pool

That title belongs to blackheart bay

this was one of the most painful matches I’ve ever played and it was on WHJ:

All maps should

This isn’t Dota 2 where one player gets fed and carries a whole team to victory

All five players should win and lose together

My solution for problem is this, in any type of matches except unranked and ranked you should enlist what maps you want (Not in ranked because if you can’t play on certain map you deserve lower rank). This way people liking map won’t be mad and people not liking those won’t hae them in QMs or VS AI

that would lead to long queue times for unpopular maps.
I like BHB, for example, and I know I’m quite the exception. If I wanted to play this map, I would have to wait for a while.

Please remove WHJ from spacetime. Just in case it would show up in another game.

I’d rather get the Garden of Alterac Terror Pass and the current horrible Hanamura removed than Warhead Junction which is quite an original map

They need to remove Braxis Holdout first. Warhead Junction only needs an update.

Exactly what is wrong with Braxis Holdout?

WHJ is my only hated map; it’s too big for this game and afk running for hours to clear lanes because the enemy got an az, zag, and rag isn’t fun. BHB I kind of enjoy but it really depends on well your team can manage the chaos.

imo laning heavy maps are not what suits this game the most. Team fights are where the game shines.

Too easy to snowball, too small in some cases. The other two-lane maps are much larger. All of this makes it extremely difficult to make a comeback on.

Cursed Hollow is similar, but that only issue with that one is that its objective is far and away too strong at all stages of the game, where other objectives simply scale out of control late game.

Seems easy to fix by simply widening the gap between the lanes further

Out of curiosity what is your personal opinion of Haunted Mines?

It was the best two-lane map, after all of the fixes. I still think Battlefield of Eternity is dull.

It really is

There needs to be more fun mechanics to that map

I personally have no problems with it from a gameplay standpoint though

What do I get from this thread?
Everyone has favoured maps and maps he don’t like.
We should be thankfull to have fourteen different maps, not counting the ARAM-Maps.
How many different maps have other MOBA’s?

  • LoL: one map
  • Dota 2: one map
  • SMITE: three maps with two or more lanes, but not every mode is 5 vs 5
  • Heroes of Newerth: one Map

This means we have more maps than every other major Moba combined

There was a point in time when I liked all the maps

The original Hanamura is among the maps I dearly miss

Original Garden of Terror as well

Warhead Junction was amazing too before the bosses were made obnoxious and the nukes were nerfed to no longer do bonus center damage

Haunted Mines before it’s rework is also quite a gem

And Blackheart’s Bay I can live with if all the above maps come back because that map doesn’t really get on my nerves all that much

I started playing with the D.Va patch 2017. So I don’t know how the old Version of WHJ was.

Haunted Mines was in my opinion always in an awkward spot. The idea of two levels on one map should have been solved differently. I’ve seen Pyroblasts travel ridiculous distances on this map.

I liked the old version of hanamura too with the Boss in the middle, but the two loads at the same time destroyed every pvp aspect of a MOBA.

It was amazing and felt fresh since all the rest of the maps were quite small

The bosses were very fun and easy to take because he would spawn bugs that exploded after they came towards you which you could dodge easily

Now they just explode like bombs as soon as they land and are almost impossible to dodge resulting in this boss being not worth doing at all anymore

The other difference is how the nukes actually did more damage in the middle so you could be far more tactical with the way you used them

Even now the problem isn’t Warhead Junction itself but the lack of variety due to other maps just not being as good as they once were

As a result Warhead Junction feels like a nuisance because we already have plenty of three lane maps that aren’t as huge as Warhead Junction is

There is nothing wrong with having at least one map feature PvE elements heavily

The problem was League of Legends players wanting the same generic PvP stuff all the time in Heroes of the Storm to make it their game

If the two payloads were an issue they should have just made three possible payload locations with one spawning at a time that both teams could push and left everything else alone

Yes I can’t removed Warhead (StarCraft battleground) it’s was one of the best maps.

A map that reduces every hero’s damage to 1 would be original.

I would still hate it.

WHJ has just too much variance. It makes some heroes incredibly strong, and others incredibly bad. In a way that no other maps does. Global movement and macro abilities are just too strong on it.
