Sure and I know admitted more than enough that this system is flawed, but I highly doubt that the majority of players got banned unjustified. Most players, who got suspended or banned deserved their bans, it takes a bit of effort to get the punishment.
But don’t get me wrong the only thing I dislike about this system that it can ban your account permanently, that shouldn’t happen, but otherwise it’s working as intended.
I wouldn’t take that bet. When you have a system which is so prolifically bad and based on subjectiveness like HotS has, nothing can really be said for certain other than the person who’s banned probably pissed off 15-20 people over the course of 3-5 games.
Then explain why there are players on the forum, who has their six years old account, but never got punished at all? Based on you, they should have at least one or two punishments, because they can’t avoid it… but it didn’t happen - how?
Lots of reasons why, one example is they don’t play games consistently. Another is that they keep chat off because chat in this game is asking to be false reported.
Nah, I would say it’s like Volun said before, if you change the tone of your language you are less in danger getting reported or false reported. The few trolls that can false report you won’t make the difference, because reports can decay.
Many people on this forum do not even play this game regularly. I dont even play at all anymore.
You can convince me with simple evidence, show me an suspended player, who got banned for being polite like Narha or Volun suggested. No Grubby doesn’t count, because he provoked others to report him A LOT. That’s example isn’t realistic.
Honestly people like you all write the same story with different obvious giveaways but its all the same translation of
" I don’t (or just don’t want to) understand how or why what I am doing is considered bad manners"

Been playing since Alpha, before the game ever went live. I have never been banned once, not even a chat mute. It’s the players, not the system.
Search the forums and you will find your answer.
The system is working perfectly. You’re NOT getting banned for saying “why are you not soaking” or “stop feeding.”
You’re getting banned for all the other toxic comments you made that you conveniently omitted!
100% of silenced players deserved their silence.
The “automated” system isn’t automated. It requires an actual human to issue the silence, which means that a GM will read what you said, and then make the decision to silence you.
You and everyone else that has been silenced has fully deserved it. Period.

And also I know people who have harrassed other players extensively, things that should obviously get them banned. They didn’t get punished.
So it is at least flawed in the way that if you don’t play enough games to accumulate enough reports within a certain time frame, then you wont be punished.

He was silenced 20 times but had them all removed. How can that be, if there’s always an actual human that has to authenticate the punishment?
Maybe there is a human that has to issue the silence as you say, but they’re all just massively incompetent and not doing their job properly.
Some people seem to think that the system is working perfectly because they have never been silenced despite playing since alpha. Not mentioning that they only play 2 matches a week.

Pings are messages in the Chat, spamming them floods it, so Abusive Chat can work.
There’s also Spam for this exact case as well.
So sometimes ppl can get Silenced without typing because they actually did “type” and were distruptive.

Imagine if a coworker told you how to eat your lunch and you told them to back off and mind their own business and they made a company forum post about how you should be fired because you are the problem.

If you type in draft chat it can be used against you, I know that from friends who were silenced (years ago) and lines from draft were cited in their tickets. I’m not sure though that if a player is in draft chat, but says nothing can sill be reported. I would guess not, as they can’t ping or make any actions other than to type.
