New temporal loop

So how is this ultimate supposed to work now that it’s changed and that Chromie deals significantly less burst damage?

Old loop is you loop someone, WQ auto them at the halfway mark, and then instantly delete them.

New loop she gets 500% cooldown recharge during the duration, you can’t do it at the halfway mark since her abilities no longer have a long delay, and she barely have the damage to finish off a squishy. Obviously she cannot use it the same way as she used to.

So how do you use temporal loop with the new Chromie? Do you cast it on an enemy frontline, then proceed to fire off Q’s and W’s into the enemy team with the increased CDR? Seems like a very counterintuitive way of using a single target burst ability.

Simple, use it for a massive DPS increase.

This ult is basically eating 3 nano boosts all at once every 50 seconds for 3 seconds. The best counter previously to this ult was either disrupt and stop the chromie (IE get to her) or put unstoppable on the target (IE use a cleanse) so now chromie can easily shoot several sandblasts at anyone coming at her which is a significant deterant on anyone actually connecting with the hits.

Just because it’s different does not mean it’s useless. The displacement alone is pretty nasty, the dps increase is probably more terrifying than the previous chromie with just blow up.

it is a team game, rest of your team can also pre cast the spells on top of the return point, there is still value to it outside of 1v1 scenario in which it is not that imbalanced anymore

Use W+Q, then activate loop, Q, W+Q on loop marker (it will more than likely be synced if you chain cast all of this in quick succession, you can also throw your combo on someone else), and you’ll have another Q ready right after that.
You’ll probably not kill your target alone unless you have stacked Shifting Sands, but you can inflict a great deal of both AoE and single target damage, especially on stacked teams.

Let me guess…you use it with your team so that you have an easy follow up and collective kill.
This being a team game and all.
