Need Zul'Jin help

WHo said anything about carrying, I thought the forums detested the idea of solo carryign as anything that should only ahppen if the person doing the carrying is 3 tiers higher then the rest of the players in the game.

TO say Zul’jin is unplayable is a laughable concept though just because you can’t resist the urge to “use his full potential” and disregard the very real and obvious fact that that “Full” potential exceeds any ranger and you don’t need to be at 1 health constantly to keep up.

Part of the issue of your anti-hero rants is they’re just reactionary posts that aren’t backed by much else.

Tier lists generally don’t matter as much to gameplay as players claim. A tier list is an expectation of “metagameplay” where people are using information outside the game to influence decisions that they’ll make. If people keep trying to resort to lists that don’t reflect the ‘meta’ that they actually see and play, then the qualities that make that hero “S tier” don’t matter.

Esp since many of those choice are based on specific conditions. Saying something is “s tier” or “not s tier” doesn’t mean much in a games where player preference tends to have a bigger impact than not.

There was a recent revival HotS tourney featuring teams in Korea and China; some of those players/teams favor a Zul’jin pick, esp against Garrosh. Some NA/EU drafts might have run a double-support for a ‘hypercarry’ comp, but others choose a 3 frontline draft to run flanks and pressure the enemy team instead.

There are a lot of playstyles, pick variations and so on that generally get tossed out because people are too busy “following” the meta to understand it. However, as many players, streamers and teams can attest, when someone wants to excel at a hero, they often can in defiance of “the meta” tierlists. In some cases, having teams certainly helps (to pick complementary heroes) but in other cases, unorganized play is such a different creature that there’s more ways to strut the catwalk and show their stuff.

Who cares what the OP wants to play? If he wants to learn Zul’jin, who are you to say he shouldn’t?

This is a thread about tips for Zul’jin, not about whether or not the OP should play him.

You and the person obsessed with :expressionless: seem to just comment on every thread voicing your opinion when the thread isn’t even asking it. Stop. It’s annoying.

Ok. Stay with one sided tips and no warning whether the hero is strong. Useless forum

No matter the fringe case, the forum will point it out. I bet even people who ask for tips for pre-rework dva (worst hero in the game or one of the worst) would get only “positive” tips on how to play rather than admit she’s weak because she wasn’t that weak to be a 100% loss hence you see probius, dva, medivh, whatever mains of “weak” heroes that do well

The point of tips are to express how the hero can be “strong”.

In case you hadn’t notice, the devs do try to define unique aspects of where a hero can be “strong”, so even niche heroes actually have a niche. Some players do actually have these 65%+ winrate successes on non-meta picks. Part of the gist of people being able to have repeat success is that they can repeat it. If it’s repeatable, then there’s a method to their madness and people that really want to excel with a select hero may put in the time/effort to figure out how to do so.

Asking how to do something better is significantly more useful than whining that something isn’t “s tier”.

No thanks. What I say is the truth as hard as it is for you to understand that. I also didn’t break any rules so unless you get the mods to unfairly ban me, I’m still here

They’re not asking for you to tell him not to play him.

They’re asking for advice on how to lay him.

It’s they’re choice to play.
