Yes people overreact toward Nova, but what you essentially do is put outcome of the game in opponent’s counter-drafting capabilities… What opponents end up doing to a Nova 1st pick (usually) is slightly readjust their original idea into "same but with more survive at the cost of “impression of impact”. While at it = might as well end up adding Zarya or Medivh (for a good measure) on top

Sure, you can “get away with” such stupid nonsense if you/your team is FAR FAR superior than the opponent but in “close skill” matchup it usually means autoloss (or at least super high frustrating game for yourself most of all), MAINLY cause they’ll take much less squishier and less snipable composition than they originally intended-to/would

And simply = DON’T do that, sure, back in HL there may have been a reason (being 1st in the list to draft), but that’s not the case anymore, so there’s absolutely no reason to do so…
