lol this again
Not very.
Holy Shock isnāt completely mandatory but itās pretty close.
Again, so?
He is already good bruiser, HS makes him even better bruiser because he can pick another talent (EDIT - that will be 100% Holy Fire unless something much better appears).
How HS baseline makes Uther better healer? What HS got to do with healing others?
Whats the point of buffing something he is already good at and not buffing what is he lagging behind since Malf rework? (and then new releases/Tyr rework made comparably worse).
I also donāt know why is Q build so popular. While I am also taking Q talent on level 4 in most of the games, the level 1 talent makes no sense. You donāt really need longer Q range, and the mana cost reduction is laughable compared to the mana you get from the basic attack quest.
I used to like Uther, and I played him a lot until Whitemane was released. After that the healer meta shifted a lot. Now with Anduin too, I see almost no reason to pick Uther, especially as a solo support.
Itās not just the mana cost, but the cooldowns as well. Each of his heals has 12 sec cooldown! He heals 2-ce and he exhausts himself. While other healers have much shorter cooldown on their heals, even if some of them donāt heal as much as Ooter.
I suppose that even some mana cost reductions will be good for the short term, but he needs a bigger rework in order to be a viable solo healer again.
Statistics say he does.
What is your basis for this? His stats clearly show him as not even APPROACHING top healers. Anduin, Tyrande, Malfurion and Lucio have nearly DOUBLE his popularity in Masters. Ana has nearly TRIPLE. In pro games, he barely hits 10% popularity and these are the best players in the game. So unless youāre just smoking crack and imagining things, I canāt imagine where youāre getting this silly idea from.
Why? He isnāt picked very often in comparison to real top healers and he has noted mana issues.it seems like getting a light tune up would be beneficial.
No, which is why I never advocated for nerfs lmfao.
To solidify his role as a tank/healer, rather than trying to pretend heās a healer that is behind. Basically the same reason people pick talents that make assassins do more damage, and tend to ignore the ones that let them live long enough to do their job, I guess people just like to specialize.
Paladins are a hybrid class and across all kinds of fiction including Warcraft theyāre portrayed as being durable but capable of healing, and often somewhat capable of doing damage. He fits in there pretty well.
I need longer range so I can poke the back line while Iām standing on the frontline, or poke the front line before the fight even begins.
The mana cost reduction makes his Q free when used to shock. Which means free armor and heals for Uther, which let him tank better.
You canāt always auto attack in team fights.
And again, why does he need to be a solo healer?
Thereās absolutely no reason he needs to be.
He has a unique role, and if you buff his healing youāll have to nerf his tanking. And that means Iāll be left with absolutely zero options when my team has neither a healer or a tank, or just needs some extra front line.
The only other hero that comes close is Zarya.
Letās not ask to homogenize the heroes, itās more interesting when they are unique.
