I only type “report the potatoe Butchertard/Abathurtard/Novatard/whatevertard and AMove to the next potatoegame” and mute all!
Congratulations. I’d give you a medal if I could. With Blizz money of course. I’d throw some shards for incentive too
At this point I’d settle for a participation trophy that said “I tried when Blizzard gave up”.
You actually took the time to search for the video. Such investment of time for a reply. Truly smart
Don’t flatter yourself there darling I have that one on retainer for half my convo’s on discord
Very smart investment ![]()

I literally cant tell the difference between each non avatared person
Are we certain that these are not the same person but on different accounts?
That isn’t even true.
It’s hard to rap around this sentence with your 16 accounts, lol.
I don’t believe the OP has a special claim to innocence as unlike you, I assume you’re not on you’re sixteenth banned account? I disagree with some here about this issue as I do know friends who were silenced who showed me their tickets. The speech that was cited as “abusive” were innocuous statements that wouldn’t cause offense to the majority of people in day to day in person interactions.
I think chat silences/bans is more nuanced issue. One friend I had who received a silence was because they played a high volume of games in Ranked (see addicted) and they like to shot call. My friend makes good calls, the thing is I wasn’t that surprised he ended up with a silence as while he is never by any means abusive, in text chat he comes across as “pushy” or lacking in manners. On Voice Chat it’s a different story, you can hear his intentions aren’t critical or bossy, but born out of an enthusiasm to win.
To strangers in text chat though, I know he can come across as abrasive. Personally I think chat infractions (with the exception of racist and bigoted slurs, death threats) should only result in account silences and suspensions, not bans as it seems to encourage many people to make alt accounts and become even more disruptive.
Banning apparently isn’t all that effective if the OP of this thread is a product of it.
Never accuse a Brightwing main they lack passion, they might suddenly consider your entrails to be a tasty delicacy.
As I said above, while I believe some people are punished unfairly, if you’re on your 16th banned account then it’s really on you at this point.
I only just read this, I now regret engaging with you seriously.
Always those “woke SJW multi-trillion dollar companies with their communist ideas!” ![]()
Well I’m glad someone in this forum has seen a real proof of a failed reporting system (your friend in your case) and not acting like an insensitive straight a-hole like the lady above with her video calling people stupid (talk about toxicity). But jeah, just like your friend I like to shot call a lot, and until 3 years ago I’d play at least 10 games per day so yeah… some people get annoyed fast it seems and the report button is too easy to use. Maybe I should do the same and report every living thing that slightly annoys me huh… sigh
I’d probably agree with your assessment, as I mentioned earlier, most reports are probably unfounded. However, the ticket they show probably only shows their last report, not all the reports. You don’t really know the extent of what was done in the whole history of their reports. And that’s part of the problem, there isn’t that much transparency in the system. The rep isn’t going to go through every line of chat, they’re just going to pick the last game, and find something that is the most mildly damning and show that.
Here’s the thing.
I used to be quite addicted to the game too. I would also play unpopular heroes, pick “throw” talents, and as you can see from my time in the forums, I have no problem being direct and call out people’s nonsense if I see it. I would sometimes even whisper people after games to tell them why they did X. I had multiple people TELL me they reported me.
Although I try not to devolve into the worst of “abusive” chat, I know on the rare occasion, I probably crossed the line by saying some mild insults. Even then, I never got a single silence, because a few infractions alone isn’t enough to get an action on you. You need a LOT of reports.
I could be lucky, as the system has an element of subjectivity based on the fragility of those who report you, but like I said it’s sort of built into the system to handle a lot of false reports. But it isn’t perfect. To get a silence, I can maybe have sympathy. But to have multiple silences, and THEN a ban, you sort of lose me there.
I’m sorry, I just want to be clear about this.
Are you bragging about… Gold?
I feel personally attacked.
Nope this is not the reason at all. Sit down, take an F on that, and try again.
Ladies and gentlemen, may I announce you without pleasure that first report on my new account unlocked!
We had a double heal comp. I was Alex and we had an Auriel. I noticed that Auriel had her trait on me all the time and we were losing team fights because obviously I couldn’t produce enough dps for her to heal effectively. And we had a guldan. A perfect candidate for her trait. So all that I said was Auriel use trait on Guldan to be followed by her magic word: Reported.
And the irony is that after game I get the message of How effective do you think the reporting system is
There you have it Ladies and gentlemen. Hots in a nutshell
I want to thank all the fans and hots community and playerbase for this incredible achievement, and past achievements
Who cares? I got reported last week for picking water dragon. My other teammates didn’t seem to care. I’m okay, you probably will be too.
I care. If you don’t it’s fine.
I just think it’s a waste of your time to get worked up over oversensitive noobs. I doubt it was your first report, and it won’t be your last. Any one report means nothing. So long as you’re not a consistent jerk, it’s pointless to air such trivial grievances.
