Dude, Durance of Hate is bonkers. You either split their team hardcore to about the perfect Lightning Nova positioning, or you set up their entire team for a combo. That AoE root is phenomenal. Just don’t be like me and miss it like 50% of the time… : (
Consume Souls isn’t even that broken to me. Like, if they have a support, it’s extremely hard to ever get a kill with it. And since the slow is pretty much gone, well… Its upgrade is another story, but. Not to mention the full cooldown if you get interrupted. Its brutal to mess up.
Also, Mephisto’s job isn’t to 1v1; I’ve always hated when my team made me soak offlanes as him. He’s still not bad, so long as they’re not super dive-y, and you’re decent at positioning. He’s scary in teamfights though: That CDR can mean you’re firing off Skull Missiles left and right, nearly always have Lightning Nova, and your Shade generally means your safe in the process. Especially if you love to take a ton of CDR talents, because who doesn’t love more ability casts.
