I feel like this should be a CDR instead of duration extension. Idk if that makes a difference but Qhira doesn’t become OP because of CDR so I’m referencing that
ever consider thats because the state of bruisers in this game is just that poor
Why would you rework hanzo, auriel, deckard and tyrael???
yeah let’s keep balancing heroes around the top 1% of players. that has worked out for every game that’s ever existed… oh wait.
the point i’m making it’s a range cleave with no delay or telegraph. she just rolls forward throws it and you take a hard chunk of damage. tack on the stun as well and it’s an even worse feeling. Tack on the Q where you just need to somewhat hit the skill shot and it’ll auto function doing non preventable damage too, oh boy… imo they should just change this that it’ll have an arrow indicator and it’ll pass through any target in it’s pathing but you can dodge it, now that would be a hell of a lot better.
You know who else has a range cleave though? Gul’dan. To be honest I’m ok with his because he doesn’t just use it once and destroy a team.
Take Valla into ANY semi competetant dive hero and say that to me.
Valla being everywhere in QM made QM a stress reliever for me, knowing I always had easy pickings when playing Qhira
I have no idea how popular Valla is, but basically there isn’t a game I don’t see her in QM. Much less so in ranked as she’s usually still banned, well in Plat anyway.
I think a lot of the Valla hate is her popularity, at least there have been less Li-Ming complaint threads since the latest Valla rework, another hero that is often disliked due to being very popular, but also isn’t an over performer.
Let me say this way. She is so popular that she makes Li-Mings dress robe look like casual school cloth.
She has 97% winrate in all leagues and close to 80% banrate.
lack of build diversity, only a few builds are viable and some talents are just genuinely unusable/worthless like pathfinder on Genji and redemption on Hanzo,
At the end of the day it’s a game. Nobody cares about the competitive scene, there is no point in doubling down on it because it already hard flopped. You say this but WoW spends time balancing their game around good players and look how that game ended up. They tried to make eSports revolving around high tier players but look at that in comparison to something like League.
Making games fair/balance is not satisfying for players. If they want to draw in or keep players from leaving they need to make the player experience better. Having to meta pick when they’re heroes that are simply not viable unless you have this one specific comp is not a fun way to play a game. You’re delusional if you think so.
The input is there because it gives a broad view to the company as feedback of what’s wrong in the game. I.E. when they changed stealth visibility prior to 2.0.
I did not say unmitigated I said unpreventable. You just admitted to that they’ll still take damage even after the invuln/shields wear off. Your semantical argument needs work, by your logic there is no unpreventable damage in this game which is simply not true.
I never said her Q was a guaranteed skillshot, I said it’s a loose skillshot that will work as long as you roughly aim it in the right direction. Unlike Jaina’s Q where you have to actually land it, this one homes if it’s close enough. I don’t understand how you’re pulling some of these reasonings from what I said.
This isn’t really relevant to the discussion.
Besides the fact that WoW is primarily a PvE experience, WoW devs have gotten tons of flak for doing the OPPOSITE: they’ve literally gotten caught telling players to go kick rocks because “ONLY WE, THE DEVS, KNOW WHAT’S BEST FOR THE GAME!”.
This isn’t what happened lmfao. HOTS esports was pushed by Blizzard but wasn’t properly supported/funded/organized and had very little involvement from the community. Those mistakes were GOING to be fixed by including people like NotParadox but the Pro Scene was canceled before those fixes were ever implemented.
Having good game balance is a primary way to keep people playing your game. Nobody wants to spend months getting good at certain heroes only for those heroes to be nerfed into oblivion because bad players kept complaining until they got nerfed. Lower hero viability is largely correlated with how much devs listen to bad players: bad players rarely have any good insight into game balance and will give complaints/advice that don’t reflect the reality of the game. If you WANT there to be more hero viability, stop asking the devs to listen to bad players.
That would be correct. There IS no “unpreventable” damage in the game. Unpreventable means that you will always take damage NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES which is something that doesn’t really exist in HOTS. You’re trying to misuse strong language in an effort to make Valla’s Q seem stronger than it really is but it doesn’t work when people can point out that it isn’t true.
You make it seem like dodging it is almost impossible and that the damage is guaranteed but neither are true.
Oh no, I wasn’t saying Valla was OP at all. I was just pointing out then when a hero escalates in popularity like Valla or Li-Ming, even if they aren’t over performing their popularity can encourage a perception that they are too strong.
Funny enough, before Valla’s last rework, Hungering Arrow auto acquired a target if it missed, meaning you did not even need to aim it that well to do damage.
Then they should rework ALL of the heroes, because all of them have useless talents.
Hanzo doesn’t need rework, because all of his builds are good. Redemption is the only talent that needs buff. Genji need buffs to his stats and bad talents, not a total rework. The other ones you mentioned do not need rework at all.
League of Legends: am i joke to you?
If League actually did balance their Legends around Pros then Faker’s mains would have been nerfed because he was pushing insane damage #'s on them. Their devs take lower tier players abilities into consideration, too. Honestly though I don’t like League anymore, the TTK is lowered and the game is way more snowbally than it’s ever been. In this game it is possible to make a comeback as long as you play your role and help your team understand their mistakes.
Valla wasn’t even banned once in the CCL today. Junkrat and Cassia get the prio over her.
Pay attention.
19m16s to 20m27s.
I do care about the competitive scene.
Devs do care about the general opinion, too. They won’t explicitly cite it every time.
Oh yeah, that’s why they like so much to nerf champs like Akali, Azir, Aurelion Sol etc when they already have low winrate. Totally not because of pros making these champs broken.
