Imperius Guide šŸ‘¼

by the way do wrath of angiris heroic work on unstoppable targets?like grabbing butcher in his charge or illidan heroic?

Yes, you can grab Butch while heā€™s charging towards you. Illidanā€™s Hunt might be too problematic to time tho.

But then heā€™d be impotent.

I enjoy Imperius already if it werenā€™t for the high mana costs he had at the start.

Yea, he has mana issues, but nothing serious if you know when to drink, back and if you only use your abilities when you accomplish something with it.

Great guide, thanks for sharing.

Mostly Brawl these days, which is ā€œfake,ā€ but maybe there are other Brawl players like me. I like AngArm in that context given the concentrated damage associated with constant 5-man fights and inconsistent followup from teammates; just feels more self-sufficient with guaranteed value. I generally see Wrath losing in Brawl unless thereā€™s solid followup and/or itā€™s already snowballing. Wrath makes more sense on traditional maps for all the great reasons you highlight.

One counter-recommendation for Wrath I can think of is if the enemy team has a lot of mobility and your team doesnā€™t have much lockdown; e.g. enemy Valla, Alarak, etcā€¦ If I see an Imperius take Wrath, I basically always leave mobility abilities available and stay primed to dodge out of it, sometimes even baiting it out on purpose since itā€™s so easy to avoid. Then again, as Imperius you can take this into account and just keep mental notes of whose abilities are on cooldown or just ambush with it.

Again-- awesome guide!

A vague simplification, but: imo in Brawls, you should pick the Heroic you can spam more often
(Ofc, there are probably exceptions, thatā€™s why I said basically ā€œtake it with a grain of saltā€.)
