Flawed poll had no option to say no reworks
It’s worthwhile expanding our thinking beyond the Q quest as baseline. Let’s be honest, who actually enjoys the quest?
If my memory serves me well, Nova was a bit of a pub stomper. Never good in higher ranks, but brought frustration to new players. Yes the old stealth mechanics played a big part in this, but she was also pretty easy to play too.
Q quest (originally a talent), was made baseline in an attempt to increase her skill floor. A bronzie who sucked at skill shots could no longer crush other bronzies.
I’d like the Q quest removed, but her skill floor increased in a different way. Maybe turn W into a skill shot instead of point and click?
Also, hologram should go back to the drawing board and seriously questioned whether it belongs as a baseline ability. Yes it’s a great scouting tool, but at least lunara’s wisp doesnt grant the enemy easy quest stacks.
Does hologram really fulfill its fantasy?
To fulfill the one shot calculative assassin fantasy i would give her Q a long castime and higher damage. I dont know about the rest. So that she can one shot you if she is invisible next to you and she calculates your movement perfectly and you are not behind some other thing with health.
What’s your thoughts on Ionic Force Field and Apollo Suit?
I’ve seen your stat and talent picks, knowing that it has a general low popularity, but a fine win rate. So, that’s why I’m asking.
Something from my wishlist.
- Pierce on first Q hit
- Longer clone cast range and a targeting/move option
- Orbital strike replaces pinning shot and ER removed as reduntant
- 1st number ability is now a blink into stealth like in the trailer
I won’t say anything novel here. Low pick rates are there for a reason.
They have fun synergy with each other and with AAS - you can have pretty much permanent 25 armor while stutter-stepping at 20 - but fun doesn’t mean strong and useful. And that’s about it.
Apollo suit is a fine talent, just not strong enough to compete with rewind or second charge of PS. Back in the day, original Ghost Protocol was.
And if you have to rely on 25 armor to stay alive as Nova - you’re probably doing something wrong. I’m not sure why they added it in the first place.
All these straight buffs sound really scary.
Pierce overlaps way too much with what Hanzo does, Nova’s supposed to be a single target burst damage hero not someone that can annihilate your whole team when they get graviton’d.
Triple Tap is working as intended. It has massive potential for damage but since it’s point-and-click from a good range it has to give the enemy some counter play options, like Pyroblast’s slow travel time to give them opportunity to back off and get healed or nullify it with something else.
What this game really needs is the real ghost fantasy:
Mana Burn
Also give her a nuke at 20.
Considering you want every ranged assassin to be a late game ADC, I’m not sure why you of all people are saying this.
