Blaze. 100% my go-to counter. Just slap some oil on her ghost and try to resist lighting it. She’ll pop in and be a sitting duck. Bunker also solves virtually every problem as long as people remember to use it.
As powerful as it is. It’s also her greatest weakness.
Poke and posion. Kite and chunk her as much as possible to bait out her W.

Kill her. really it’s that simple. She can’t really spam q without a pocket healer because that puts her in range of many heroes. Pulling everyone puts her in range of geting CC’d and focused down. She’s got no self sustain and her survivability was significantly nerfed over and over again.

Exactly. Ranged basic attacks or burst abilities.
As is the case with most melee assassins. But people like Laparo like to sound “deep” and act like there is some need to outplay Maievs and Kerrigans, when you can just blow them up.
As a Maiev player…Varian/BW combos are pretty dangerous to me… if I go carelessly near one of them, try to use a W only to get taunted and then Poly’d that can erase me quickly, of course so it will delete anyone falling into that Taunt/Poly combos.
