Yee i agree In EU sometimes you can get away with a 1st pick butcher but Na is like a roman turtle formation
Half of my good heroes dont work because of ping or their playstyle
Heroes that punishes position like malfurion or haymacker muradin work so much better
But im getting too quickly bored with spamming the same hero.
I hate the current johanna meta because it forces me to pick her while I played her too much to be any intresting
But more seriously, Artanis does have a decent pick/win rate at the moment, and if your team does draft him as a melee assassin, he can be a serious threat. The problem as has been mentioned is that he is too often drafted as a solo-laner, but built to be a melee assassin. In addition, I see far too many Artanises do what Havi complains about, which is to see his godswap as his main initiation tool.
I almost never see an Artanis use his backswap below high Diamond, even though that is usually safer and more likely to be effective. I use backswaps in lane when the enemy is being a little too aggressive as if nothing else, it will force them to use a defensive CD when they realize that we are suddenly fighting under my towers. Backswaps can also be lethal in team fights against melee healers like Rehgod or Uther.
And the other accurate point Havi made was I see a ton of Artanis players who aren’t auto-attacking enough. You have to be constantly swiping at something, anything, to maintain your trait uptime. Even if the heroes are out of range, whack a minion, a wall, whatever. The best way to engage on Artanis is with his W, not his E, and never with his Q if they have decent CC. I was up against an Artanis in ARAM the other night as ETC, and he just wouldn’t learn that Qing into my team meant he would get Face Melted back there and die.
But then again, when the enemy team doesn’t respect the godswap, it is simply glorious.
If the Anduin had been smart, he would have waited for the rest of his team before poking at us, or if he had been really smart, he would have poked from the safety of his fort.
Doing decent. Trying to master some heroes I’m a bit less good with. Hard because Jo and Reh (main tank, main healer) are perma banned. I’m garbage with other tanks, unless maybe Arthas but he’s not really meta.
Finally gave a try to changed Tass and I’m pretty fine so far, so I’m glad. Doing ok with morales too.
That’s very fair, I’ve played the other direction and the latency was fine for some heroes, but the worst match I had was playing Ana on the Korean server.
I was saying to Dr. Logan in another thread that Hots really isn’t as fun without playing with friends. Most of my friends list, a core group of people who have been here since launch are all taking an extended break as they are bored with the slow content, broken hero reworks and simply want a new hero to play.
It’s a shame to see where Hots is right now, as I still maintain it’s the most fun and polished Moba on the market.
Yea i’m also on a break from the game now. Geneal chat on EU is just full of kids spamming thier stuff and the same two people are spamming racist stuff in chat every evening/night.
So I went back to Monster Hunter and made a new char
It’s infinitely more fun when playing with friends. I shamefully have a little bit over 10 games played as solo and that was when I just started playing, so when you look at the stats it seems like I’m getting boosted because my winrate as solo is garbage but actually its just that I’ve been improving in non-solo matches.
